Well hello there little fella [img style="max-width:100%;" src="
Robyn arrived at Newport City Dogs Home a few weeks ago. His coat was in a shocking state, he was clearly in pain, and on his first walk out with our volunteers we noticed he had blood in his urine.
Robyn was rushed to Summerhill Vets, and underwent urgent surgery for gall bladder stone. Whilst he was under anaesthetic the lovely vet nurses at Summerhills also tackled his coat We think he brushes up well
Robyn is very 'foody' and he would do the ironing if he could for a morsel of pate! Well, he does the cutest 'beg' anyway
As Robyn has had kidney stones, it's possible that he will benefit from a diet which supports his kidney function, and rehomers should do some research about appropriate diets. The staff will also be happy to discuss this with potential rehomers. Many vets stock and sell expensive kibble products but these are not always necessary, and can be very boring for your dog. Do your own research, look for independent advice, not from the pet food manufacturers which will obvious promote their own products.
Robyn seems none the worse for his recent ailments
He has been friendly with the other residents he has met, and is a happy and energetic little chap with a permanent smile on his face
Robyn would probably appreciate a fairly quiet but active home, with or without another dog. He is friendly and affectionate around older children and if you'd like to meet him please contact NEWPORT CITY DOGS HOME TEL 01633 290 902 between 11am - 1pm and 2pm - 4pm, on weekdays, 11am - 1pm and 2pm - 3.30pm on Saturday. Please note: the home is CLOSED on Sundays.
Rehoming fees are from £120 depending on the age/breed of the dog, and include 1st vaccination, flea & worm treatment. It is a condition of the rehoming contract that all dogs are neutered, and subsidised vouchers are available for £35.
