Oh my days Meet our newest incomer, the absolutely adorable Sam This handsome fella is about 2 years old, and he hasn't put a paw wrong since he arrived! He has fabulous doggy manners and Bas was happy to say 'howdee' and share some treats with Sam after they stepped out for a walk around the field together If Sam's owners don't come forward for him he will be available for rehoming from 30th January, and if you'd like to meet him better make it quick! We think he's going to be a verrrrry popular fella! Please contact NEWPORT CITY DOGS HOME TEL 01633 290 902 for more information between 11am - 1pm and 2pm - 4pm, on weekdays, 11am - 1pm and 2pm - 3.30pm on Saturday. Please note: the home is CLOSED on Sundays. Rehoming fees are from £120 depending on the age/breed of the dog, and include 1st vaccination, flea & worm treatment. It is a condition of the rehoming contract that all dogs are neutered, and subsidised vouchers are available for £35.

I walked Sam yesterday, he was an absolute joy. He walked so well on the lead, walking at my pace that it didn't feel like I had a dog on the end of it. If I stopped he would stop and look at me to see why. I gave him a treat which he was so gentle taking it off me and he would then nuzzle my hand from time to time to hint for another one. He had no problem with passing traffic and calm if he seen another dog across the road from him. Sam is a wonderfully, in tune gentle dog and would make a wonderful companion.
