Hi all,
Me and my partner are interested in adopting a dog from the dogs home but both work full time. Would this automatically exclude us from adopting? Or would it still be an option providing we get a dog walker/come home at lunch time?
Your help would be much appreciated! X

Hi there There is no blanket rule on full time workers adopting dogs, it all depends on the individual dog. Some dogs (such as pups and youngsters, or those that the staff know prefer to have someone around all day) would not be suitable for a working family, but others could be okay to be left for around 4 hours. So providing you can either get home yourselves or have a dog walker to break up the day, I'm sure there would be a dog perfect for you. Pop along to either CDH or NCDH and have a chat to the staff, and good luck!
