Please welcome Millie Millie is in her silver years, and she's had a bit of a tough time lately, although you wouldn't know it to look at her. She's being very brave and is trying to take her recent misfortunes in her stride. Having lived a happy and quiet life with her owner, Millie was taken into a new household with young children, two dogs, and a cat. She coped remarkable well all things considered, even though she was missing her owner. After a week luckily for Millie she was signed over to Newport City Dogs Home, and we have promised her we will find her a loving and more suitable retirement home. Millie could probably do with losing a few pounds, but she has clearly been well looked after. We don't know what her breed mix is, we're thinking maybe there's a bit of corgi in her genes, who knows? Millie has settled into the routine at NCDH really well. She loves the company of the staff and vols, and has been waggy tailed and polite around her fellow residents. If you'd like to meet Millie please contact the staff NEWPORT CITY DOGS HOME TEL 01633 290 902 between 11am - 1pm and 2pm - 4pm, on weekdays, 11am - 1pm and 2pm - 3.30pm on Saturday. Please note: the home is CLOSED on Sundays. Rehoming fees are from £120 depending on the age/breed of the dog, and include 1st vaccination, flea & worm treatment. It is a condition of the rehoming contract that all dogs are neutered, and subsidised vouchers are available for £35.

Awwwwww I LOVE Millie! What a dear little dog. She looks as if she'd be grateful for any nice quiet home with a cosy bed. Do hope she finds her special people very soon.

Sometimes things are just meant to be and it was serendipity that Millie's new Mum should call into Newport City Dogs Home within days of her arriving.
I am sure they're going to be very very happy together ☺️
