Who needs words? Percy Pug has just been signed over to the Home. He's about 6 years old, and pretty as a picture! Like many bracycephalic (flat-faced) dogs, Percy is a little bit schnuffly and schnorty, and if couldn't live with a heavy breather Percy may not be the one for you Percy has lived with another dog, but apparently he was too 'fruity' for the other dog and kept pestering her for favours He met Bas in the garden, and once Bas made it clear he wasn't 'that kind of dog' the two of them got along famously! Percy will be having his big boy's op as soon as possible! Percy is a lively and affectionate little fella And very wriggly-piggl! He doesn't keep still for long! Too many things to see! Soooo many things to do! The staff will be looking for a breed-experienced home for Percy, someone who has previously owned flat-faced dog and can provide a veterinary reference to confirm that they have given the dog timely and appropriate veterinary care. Pugs are prone to a number of health issues due to breeding practices, and can be expensive to insure. If you'd like to meet Percy please contact NEWPORT CITY DOGS HOME TEL 01633 290 902 between 11am - 1pm and 2pm - 4pm, on weekdays, 11am - 1pm and 2pm - 3.30pm on Saturday. Please note: the home is CLOSED on Sundays. Rehoming fees are from £120 depending on the age/breed of the dog, and include 1st vaccination, flea & worm treatment. It is a condition of the rehoming contract that all dogs are neutered, and subsidised vouchers are available for £35.

We are expecting a lot of visitors for Percy this weekend! If you would like to meet him, please come armed with your vet reference. The rehoming process in Newport City Dogs Home required a vet reference for all their dogs for rehoming.
