Regular visitors to our social media pages will recognise this beautiful girl Tia was found straying last year, and spent a while in Newport City Dogs Home. She found a wonderful forever home, the most loving home a dog could wish for, but Tia suffers from separation anxiety, and couldn't bear to be left for even the shortest amount of time. After much heartache and consultations with the family and a behaviourist, it was agreed that Tia needs to be in a home where someone is around pretty much constantly, maybe a young retired household. Click HERE to see Tia's previous rehoming thread. Tia is a very sensitive and extremely affectionate girl, she simply loves people. Her soft coat is perfect for snuggles And she can't resist stealing kisses... Pucker up Aunty Janet! Tia really is happiest when she's being cwtched Yeah, don't stop issit! Like most long-leggedy pointies, Tia does like to have a mad 5 minutes of zoomies - so a large garden would be perfect for her! But mostly, she just wants to rest her paws and chillax. And that's when you see her unique smile... Tia has the smiliest face ever!!!! If you'd like to meet Tia please phone the Dogs' Home: 029 2071 1243 or visit Cardiff Dogs' Home, Westpoint Industrial Estate, Penarth Road, open 7 days a week, 10.30 - 4pm. Oh Tia, It's heartbreaking to see you back :-(. I enjoyed our walks together when we were at NCDH. When I saw you had been rehomed last year I was so pleased, I always wondered why you'd been there so long. I pray you find a home soon where you can have someone around all the time. Somewhere with plenty of space to stretch those long pointy legs and a comfortable sofa to flake on when you get back :-) All my Love, Millie, your brindle lutcher friend from NCDH xx

Aw Tia, so sad to see you back. We were so happy to hear you had found your furvever home before Christmas. My husband and I walked Tia regularly at NCDH and developed a real soft spot for her. She has a beautiful nature and is very affectionate. I wonder if Tia would benefit from another doggie pal to help with her seperation anxiety? We walked Tia regularly with other NCDH lurcher dogs and she seemed to love their company and gained confidence from them. Tia is so deserving of a loving home that can commit to her needs and I hope that someone can offer her the stability and long term affection and dedication she deserves. Tia is a special, beautiful, affectionate girl and I am heartbroken that she is back. Tia we'll come to see you soon xxx

Tia had a girlie date this afternoon! She enjoyed a leisurely walk with Millie, an ex-resident from Newport City Dogs Home.
Tia does find it a little stressful meeting dogs on lead, but the girls relaxed into a steady walk after a while and Tia is really hoping that Millie will come back to see her again next week!
Paws crossed Tia!

We adopted Tia last year and she was with us for a short while before unfortunately we all had to make the heartbreaking decision for her to return to kennels for her own wellbeing. This is not a reflection on Tia as a dog at all as she is the sweetest, most affectionate and intuitive dog a family could ask for. She is so well house trained, loves people and when she's off the lead she loves to play with other dogs - especially if they love zoomies too!! We all miss her so so much, especially her charging at you after work and kissing you loads. We all really hope that someone can meet her needs and give her the home she deserves, trust me if you meet her, you'll want to take her home! and if you want to give her an extra special treat, she loves breadsticks and houmous, if i ever had it she would bite the top off my breadstick before I saw it!! I really hope someone can give my baby the home she deserves xxx

Hello everyone, I thought you might like an update on Tia After three rufty tufty boxer's my mum found Tia's sensitive nature a little tricky to deal with at first but now they are joined at the hip - literally. The only time Tia lets mum out of her sight (and vica versa!!!) is when mum's in the bathroom. We lost Dad in February last year then on the aniversary of his passing this year Mum lost her last rescue dog, put that together with Tia's rocky background I really think they needed each other . Every day Tia is growing in confidence and her personality is shining through (basically she's bonkers) which makes my mum laugh so day by day her mood is lifting too. Mum has two sofa's and a chair but they cuddle up on the one sofa, they snuggle up together in bed and spend hours playing in the garden or with the four crates, yes four, of dog toys. Tia has already "sussed" the mum's routine, happy as larry when the joggers are replaced with jeans as that means an outing, huffing and grumbling when the scruffy joggers come out as that means the vacuum will be getting a work out. She looks forward to elevensies as the biscuits are shared - preferably dunked. Mum only ever leaves her when someone Tia has already met can doggy sit as Tia loves visitors and doesn't seem to mind Mum "disappearing" to the hairdresser or hospital if someone else will make a fuss of her and play with her. Mum now refers to her as her little girl and I am now Tia's big sister - and a very proud one too . I am so happy mum was able to give such a troubled pooch a happy home and also over the moon that Tia is helping to heal in return. Thank you CCDH for bringing them together.

I can't begin to explain to you how happy this update makes me and my family. It sounds like Tia has found the perfect home and Mum and she is living the life we wish we could have given her if our lifestyle had suited her. When we finally made the decision to return her to kennels this is the sort of home we could only dream that Tia would have gone to. I cannot thank you enough for giving my baby the life she deserves as she will always hold a very special place in my heart, she is a highly intuitive girl with a gentle and healing soul and I am so glad she is living the life she deserves. Love to you all and give her the biggest cuddle and kisses from me, have a fabulous life Tia xxx Hello everyone, I thought you might like an update on Tia After three rufty tufty boxer's my mum found Tia's sensitive nature a little tricky to deal with at first but now they are joined at the hip - literally. Hello everyone.
Thank you so much for your kind words. Lauraellen21, I gave Tia a massive hug and kisses and told her how much you miss her but that you're happy she's happy - I think she understood as she gave me the biggest grin as I was talking to her
Jennd - you are so right about the sense of humour, she keeps pinching Mum's slippers and hiding them on one of her beds (She has three beds dotted around the bungalow so she can snooze whilst Mum's busy in any room!) she also likes playing hide and seek with her favourite toys and goes banana's when she finds where you've hidden them, perhaps she thinks Mum enjoys hide and seek as much as her- she seems to love laughter and revels in making us laugh at her - that tail can go so fast! It's a good job the bungalow is so long, she zooms around inside like a rocket and then tears in and out of the garden, you wouldn't think she gets a three mile walk every morning with a run around the playing fields on the way home!
I will try and get some pictures of her to post, Mum is pretty rubbish with technology and I'm rubbish at remembering my camera (my phone is pretty poor at photos) - also Mum hates having her picture taken so trying to get Tia far enough away to take a pic can be tricky LOL
