Crad and Gizmo reckon snow is great fun. Great to see another pooch that loves snowballs. If he had a curly tail he'd fit right in.

Iβm actually in love. Last week I got to walk this lovely boy, and it was absolutely fantastic. He was so playful - kicking a rock around, jumping for sticks, even trying to go for a swim in the lake (unfortunately I had to deny him this pleasure, but gave him a rock as an apology gift, which he then carried diligently for the rest of the walk). Such an intelligent, well-behaved dog. if I had the time and accommodation, Iβd honestly adopt him today. Whoever does, you are making one of the best decisions of your life β€οΈ

Hi Anthony
I'm pretty sure Atticus is still looking for his forever home, if you ring the home on 029 2071 1243, they can give you some info on him. Pop down and meet him, he's such a friendly, playful boy!

Hi everyone I'm the handsome Atticus and some may say I'm a wolf but don't be fooled in a 22 month GSD hehehe πππ Alex says I'm the heartthrob of the Hotel and I don't know how handsome I really am. She's full of complements these days she makes me blush ππ As you all guessed I'm full of energy and I would love nothing more than to go on long walks and to run around in a big open field π Believe it or not I'm more interested in tennis balls than treats, I pick my one particular ball and that's it... I could play with it all day. Alex can't see me being here that much longer, not with my beautiful looks and playful personality ππππ Lots of love from Atticus at Heartbreak Hotel πππ

Hoping this beautiful boy is suitable for young children ! Will be down in the early week . I can not telephone at the moment so is it ok just to turn up? After finally getting our own home and leaving behind our family dogs because my mother will not part with her babies we are looking to adopt our own fur baby! We are a very active young family so he would have plenty of excersise !

Atticus is only a youngster, about 15 months old, but our vets have diagnosed severe hip displasia and we have asked them to refer to him an orthopaedic specialist to see what options are available.
Doing nothing isn't an option and it's likely that Atticus will be having life-changing surgery soon. So please keep him in your thoughts. We may be looking for a respite carer for Atticus when he is recovering from surgery, and to help keep his stress levels down it will need to be a pet free home with someone around for most of the time.
Crate resting a dog is verrrry challenging, can be frustrating, but it is essential for a full and complete recovery. If you feel you could offer Atticus a safe and loving foster home please let us know.

He has had a referral to a specialist orthopaedic vet, but their findings are a bit ambiguous, so we have asked the staff to arrange for a second opinion. The specialist he has seen says Atticus is not in pain and is able to be rehomed immediately, but that's not what we are seeing and we can't rehome him without being absolutely confident that this youngster is as happy and painfree. One of our volunteers has been giving him swimming sessions in the river, which is good non-weight bearing exercise, and he seems to be slowly building up his strength and stamina, but he is often quite lame after a walk, so we'll see what a second opinion brings. xx

Oh Atticus you have my heart β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ I have seen And worked with Shepards with hip dysplasia and itβs heartbreaking to hear that youβre in any amount of pain. You have the most wonderful character and spirit. A massive shoutout to the volunteer taking him out to the river.
Please let lawrance and I know if thereβs anything extra we can do to help. Weβre spreading the word on this excellent character to everyone we know who might be suitable. We hope he finds a stress free home soon. Xx Rocky sends his love and cwtches

Hi. I recently came with a friend and saw this gorgeous boy. I wondered what the updated situation with his hips are please? And if he is ok with kids as I have a 9 year old. I'm at home most of the time as I'm a full time student with Open University and study at home. Many thanks Silver

Hi everyone I'm Atticus and am I the most handsome GSD that you ever did see? πππ I'm still at the Hotel after all this time don't worry my spirits are still high and I was loving life in the river, it was lovely to have a nice cool off and it was even better that there were tennis balls involved. They are my FAVOURITE EVER π I try and fit as much balls as I can in my mouth, it's great ππ Being in the river is also good for my hips because I have hip dysplasia, I have so much energy but my hips can't keep up with me.. so it's good for me to swim to let off that energy and build some muscle hehe. I'm a little strong on the lead as I just want to go go go, so a good side garden and someone with GSD breed experience would be ideal for me. I'm a young pup who has the rest of my life ahead of me ππ Fingers crossed this year is my year, lots of love ππππππππππ .
