Please whisper a verrrry gentle welcome to Sandy Sandy was found straying a little while ago, but she was emaciated and very poorly, and has spent the last week at the vets, where she has been receiving 24/7 care. She is still very underweight and has very sore skin, but regular nutritious meals, medication for her skin, and lots of TLC is working wonders. Sandy was well enough to leave the vets and will continue her healing under the tender care of the staff at CDH. Sandy is about 2 and a half years old, and doesn't seem to have had an easy life. She is still weak, she sleeps a lot, and seems so grateful for some quiet healing time. Her onesie helps to keep her frail little body warm, and stops her from scritching her sore skin. We *think* she likes it If you'd like to meet Sandy please phone the Dogs' Home: 029 2071 1243 or visit Cardiff Dogs' Home, Westpoint Industrial Estate, Penarth Road, open 7 days a week, 10.30 - 4pm. my friends and i took this posh and elegant lady (sandy) out today. for a good walk and what can i say what a lovely walk we had. i think sandy would like a playmate to run about with as a few times i did have a jog with her and i just wish i was able to keep up (may be ill have a better chance next time). sandy was well behaved as we passed some dogs. she loves her treats and would site and wait for then. i hoping next time i take you out we'll get to have a better run

Sandy came to me for a respite visit on Easter Sunday and stayed overnight. A sweet natured, eager to please and well behaved girl would be harder to find. She is so loving and grateful for any attention. She certainly loves her food and also enjoyed nice walks, though not when it rained! She would definitely benefit from a secure home environment so I hope she finds her sofa very soon.

Well this beautiful girl really struck it lucky! Sandy has a new sister, Penny Pup who was adopted from CDH. She also has kitty siblings (never say never)! and the best mamma and pappa any girl could want! Happy Days
