Please welcome our two beautiful new pointy girls! Lady Grey And Motty These two lovelies are retired greyhounds, and have been taken in by Cardiff Dogs Home as their previous kennel establishment is closing down. We took the girls into the sensory garden for some off-lead frollicks this afternoon And after 10 mins of kicking up their heels, the two girls mooched around the garden in quiet companionship, stopping off at the watering hole like a pair of long-legged gazelles... Both girls are in their prime! Lady is a year older than Motty, she was born on 25th October 2012. And Motty was born on 8th October 2013. Retired greyhounds make amazing family pets. They are pretty low maintenance as dogs go, very affectionate, and they are renowned for being couch potatoes! If you fancy climbing Pen y Fan, hiking up mountains, and going on 4 hour brisk hikes, please leave your greyhound at home The girls have settled into kennel life very quickly, and Motty was very happy with her new roll neck handknitted cardigan. Gotta keep that slender neck warm this weather eh Motty? Although Lady and Motty love each others company, they can be rehomed separately and if you'd like to meet them please phone the Dogs' Home: 029 2071 1243 or visit Cardiff Dogs' Home, Westpoint Industrial Estate, Penarth Road, open 7 days a week, 10.30 - 4pm. We took this beautiful pair of ladies out on Sunday morning. You can pretty much guarantee a lovely relaxing walk with a greyhound and these beauties didn't disappoint. It was a lovely sociable walk and we saw a load of other pointies. There was no reaction to passing dogs people or traffic from the girls, they were wonderful and received a lot of attention from passers by. They enjoyed a sit and a fuss by the river and I could see them happily sat on their own sofas making someone very happy. Good luck lovelies.

We had our second date with this beautiful pair this morning. And what a difference in a week. Both girls came trotting out of the kennels with their tails wagging and their smiles a mile wide! It was sunny and dry, and we walked along the river. Both girls enjoyed looking across the river at the birds and we stopped for the obligatory cuddle and smooth of their gorgeous long faces! Mum had treats with her which they were very happy to see and took ever so gently. Motty is quieter and extremely sweet, we saw Lady's cheeky side coming out today. Mum had to have a quiet word with her as she kept sniffing Mottys bum which wasn't so ladylike! π These gorgeous girls are good to go and I know will make someone super happy. Good luck girls! X

We had the most fabulous walk today with Lady. She was so calm on our walk around the bay. She leant in for frequent cwtches and was an absolute darling with my two children who both loved her so much... I had never been a pointy lover before I joined CDH as a volunteer.... but theyβve always been fabulous whenever Iβve walked one... Lady was no exception.... I really wanted her to share my sofa.... especially now I know that Motty has found her very own sofa... sadly I canβt put in an application for her but I hope someone else is able to. She will be such a fabulous companion to someone very special.

Hi everyone I'm Lady and Alex says I'm the sweetest greyhound about π€ππ€ I went out with Alex and I was on my best behaviour, always nudging and licking Alex's hands whilst walking next to her hehe. I love to people watch and I could do that all day long. Another thing I really like is water. I just wanted to jump in the river, and no there wasn't any swans or ducks there πππ I love to lean in and have a good cuddle, and let's not forget those treats... I love the treats π€π€π€π€π€ Lots of love from The Lady of the Hotel πππππ
