Please welcome Hero This fab little fella is just a year old, and what he lacks in size he sure makes up for in personality! Hero is a friendly little guy, he loves the company of other dogs, and has none of the 'little dog syndrome' that is quite common in smaller breeds. His bestie is fellow resident Honey Boo, but the two have to be closely chaparroned while they have their play dates as Honey Boo is rather 'frisky' at the moment. Hero is booked in for his big boys op soonest, but Honey Boo is going to have to wait a few weeks till she can be speyed. No hanky panky in this house please Honey Boo Hero has perfect food manners, he's an all round good-to-go little fella! Hero is just one year old, and is looking for an active household, not a quiet retirement home. He could live with gentle children and other dogs, so if you'd like to meet him please contact NEWPORT CITY DOGS HOME TEL 01633 290 902 between 11am - 1pm and 2pm - 4pm, on weekdays, 11am - 1pm and 2pm - 3.30pm on Saturday. Please note: the home is CLOSED on Sundays. Rehoming fees are from £120 depending on the age/breed of the dog, and include 1st vaccination, flea & worm treatment and neutering.

Hello Shanno.
Believe that Hero is still looking for a home. He'd like a young active home as this boy has lots of energy to spare. ☺️
You can ring Newport City Dogs Home on 01633 290902.

Hi, we have recently lost our tiny 13 year old chihuahua and at some point would like another chihuahua but most rescues will not let them go to houses with small children. My children I like to say are dog trained 😂 They are very gentle and I have never had any problems with them, they are 3 and 5 years old. I see this dog can go to a home with children but do they have to be older and does Cardiff dogs home have the same rules as Newport x

Hero has left the building Newport City Dogs Home and Cardiff Dogs Home assess each dog and each applicant on merit, and Hero was adopted by a lovely young family with children. There are no blanket rehoming policies regarding ages of children, so if you have a young family do keep looking! Have a wonderful life with your new peeps Hero
