Please welcome Monica to the Hotel du Dogues Monica is a very sweet girl who arrived as a stray. Sadly no-one has come forward to claim her, so Monica has been abandoned to her fate. She's obviously very sad at her recent change of circumstances, but although she can't possibly know this, there is a loving family somewhere just waiting for Monica to make their lives complete. Despite the species language barrier, Monica seemed to understand when we were comforting her with promises of a better life By the time she joined us in the vet room, she really seemed to have perked up! Was it the gentle cuddles from Aunty Janet? Or was it the Burns goody box? Yeah, maybe we have found the way to put a smile on Monica's face There's some tasty kibble in that there box Monica! Monica has the most amazingly soft, dappled coat, perfect for cwtching! And although she's clearly well past her puppyhood, shedding a few pounds will really help Monica get the most out of life. Good nutritious food and lots of walks with our fabulous Pilgrims will definitely help Monica regain her mojo! If you'd like to meet Monica please phone the Dogs' Home: 029 2071 1243 or visit Cardiff Dogs' Home, Westpoint Industrial Estate, Penarth Road, open 7 days a week, 10.30 - 4pm. I became a volunteer dog walker Friday and had the pleasure if taking monics out for my first walk. We were out four a hour and ten mins.. Every road we came to monica stopped and waited for me to give the go ahead, she listens to everything you say and loves playing with a bottle.. I will most definitely be taking her out for a walk again
