Please whisper a gentle welcome to Shakka This darling little Frenchie girl arrived at Cardiff Dogs Home over a week ago, but she was in very poor health and is only now ready to meet visitors. Shakka has without a doubt been used for breeding with absolutely no concern for her welfare and welbeing, and although she was in desperate need of veterinary attention when she arrived, it seems doubtful whoever has been making money from selling her pups has ever spent a penny on veterinary care for Shakka. She is still recovering from horrifically infected ears, but she is a happy little girl, and grateful for the smallest kindness. It's as if kindness and gentleness is a whole new experience to her Although Shakka is still under veterinary care at the moment, she is ready to meet her public and the staff will take applications on her. Preference will be given to applicants who own, or who have previously owned brachycepalic dogs and who are aware of the potential health issues that are associated with poor breeding of flat-faced dogs. Veterinary references will be required. We have promised Shakka she will never again be left in distress and pain from untreated illness or infection. For more information please phone the Dogs' Home: 029 2071 1243 or visit Cardiff Dogs' Home, Westpoint Industrial Estate, Penarth Road, open 7 days a week, 10.30 - 4pm. She is beautiful. We recently lost our 15 yr old boxer. She was also in a terrible state when we got her from a rescue centre. she was a wonderful girl. We have another rescue dog a chug who is 3yrs old approx. She is devastated by the loss of her big sister, we are hoping to come down to Cardiff from Preston to put in application for shakka.

Hi everyone I hope you've all been putting your sun cream on today, I can't believe how lovely it has been 🌞 I'm Shakka the Frenchie but Alex likes to call me Shakka Khan 😂😁 We went out early this morning so it wasn't as hot, us Frenchies do not cope well in the heat. We ventured down by the river, and saw some nasty swans so we thought it would be best to turn around and leave them carry on 😂 We sat on the bench and I just had to get up on Alex's lap, that's what laps are for, so us Frenchies can stuck our small butts on. We encountered another pup and I couldn't care less about it 🙈 I also saw Penelope when she was in the garden so I sneaked in and she didn't like me, she started making this weird growl noise. It was only the other day we were besties, I think she has definitely found her feet at the Hotel. I'm going to start calling her one eye wonder if she starts on me again. It's ok though I'll start my own girl gang and I can be Queen B 🐝😁 Only joking Penelope you're invited, just no growling at me hehehe. Lots of love from the one and only Shakka 💓💓💓💓💓

What a sweet little lady! Shakka makes everyone smile! We took a lovely stroll out in the sunshine today and I couldn't find a fault in her. She walks well on the lead, no reaction to other dogs and full of snuggles and kisses. She's ready to find her forever family. 🐾❤️🐾
