Penelope arrived at Cardiff Dogs Home recently with a catastrophic injury to her eye. She was rushed straight to the vets by one of our volunteers, and underwent emergency surgery. Her eye couldn't be saved, but to everyone's relief, her life was. Apart from her devastating injury, Penelope was in very poor condition generally, but after a week in the tender care of the vets and the staff at Cardiff Dogs Home, Penelope is now ready to meet her public. Isn't she beautiful! We must be thankful for small mercies. Whatever sort of past Penelope has endured, at least she is now in the very best hands, and she has a wonderful future to look forward to. For more information please phone the Dogs' Home: 029 2071 1243 or visit Cardiff Dogs' Home, Westpoint Industrial Estate, Penarth Road, open 7 days a week, 10.30 - 4pm. Hi everyone it's me again Penelope and Penelope and my spirits are up and I'm already on the mend, nothing is going to get me down. Everyone says I'm a little sass queen deep down, they're just waiting for her to arriveππ I went out in the garden today to get my tan on and ooofff I was loving it. I loved having a nose of the ducks on the river as well as some naughty seagulls π I want to say a big thank you to everyone that has looked after me so far and got me where I am now ππ I'm sure I'll have everyone wrapped around my finger before they know it hehehehe. To the people who dumped me at Heartbreak Hotel, thank you, I only wish you did it sooner. I'm on the road to recovery and there's no looking back, I'm learning to trust people again, as now I know that there are good people in the world it's just a shame that I didn't know that until now. Here's to onwards and upwards. LOVE Penelope πππππππ
