Simply Stunning! Blaze is a young collie boy who has been brought in as a stray. We don't know much about him, but he hasn't put a paw wrong since the moment he arrived Put it there Blaze! Blaze has a few sore skin patches on his back, but it doesn't seem to be bothering him unduly, and it's nothing that a few days of medication and a good nutritious diet won't sort! The staff would love for Blaze to go to an active household where his collie brain will be kept busy! He would love the chance to try out at agility, flyball, or scentwork. Blaze is definitely not a couch potato! If you'd like to meet him pop up to Newport City Dogs Home! TEL 01633 290 902 between 11am - 1pm and 2pm - 4pm, on weekdays, 11am - 1pm and 2pm - 3.30pm on Saturday. Please note: the home is CLOSED on Sundays. Rehoming fees are from £120 depending on the age/breed of the dog, and include 1st vaccination, flea & worm treatment and neutering.

I'm interested in offering blaze a new home. Is he ok with other dogs as we have a very active sprollie who is 6 years old this month. We walk about 50 miles a week at present nmbut that will increase as the summer gets nearer.

Hi Richard.
Give the home a call tomorrow and ask about Blaze. There is also Hank at Newport City Dogs Home who you might like to meet. He's fine with dogs and would love an active home. ☺️

I walked Blaze on Monday, he is a real friendly dog, pulled on the lead initially then settled down & walked well. He loved to stop and have some attention, would sit and take a treat gently. Seemed a lovely natured dog.

Blaze has been having medicated baths to help his skin. He's not overly impressed with the situation but he stood still for staff member Claire to shower and shampoo him again this morning. Such a good boy Blaze! ☺️👍

I walked Blaze last Saturday. He is very energetic and for the first 10 minutes we did walk rather rapidly. But when he settled down he walked lovely on the lead.
Such a gorgeous dog who loves a cuddle and fuss. Very affectionate and as you can see a very handsome doggie.
Blaze would be best placed in a home where he gets lots of walks. But he is really good around other dogs and people. Not at all bothered by traffic either.
Amazing dog :-)

Hello Helen.
We haven't cat tested Blaze so I can't give you a hand on heart answer. However the staff like resident pets to meet potential new fur housemates so why not pop down and meet Blaze. If you think he could be the one for you we'll happily facilitate a meet between your cat(s) and Blaze. It's something that we do quite regularly.

I came up with my friend on Friday to see Blaze, is there any chance we could come up again and give him a walk?
