Please welcome Tyson Staffie We met Tyson in the vet room for a 'getting to know you' play date, and he didn't disappoint! We gave him the pick of the toy box, and Tyson had a mad five minutes pretty much entertaining himself! And once he knew he was in the company of Friends, he moved in for cwtches! We don't think Tyson has had an awful lot of love in his life recently, and he was determined to make up for lost time! He found a lap, curled himself up on it, and just lapped up the loving! And he tried his very best to give staffie kisses without moving from the comfort of Aunty's Sooz's lap He just didn't want to move, and wrapped his paws around my arms, just to make sure I didn't go away.... Best cwtches ever eh Tyson? Tyson knows the staffie rules. It is their job to adore humans, they were born to devote their lives to someone, and Tyson is finding it tough to be spending so much time in a kennel away from the people he loves Whenever he heard footsteps outside the vet room door, he pricked up his ears, wondering whether it was his owner coming to take him back Some people don't deserve the love and loyalty of dogs like Tyson Tyson is chipped, and we know he will be 4 years old on 5th July. Paws crossed he will be celebrating his birthday in style, not in a kennel. If you need love in your life, adopt a staffie. For more information or if you'd like to meet Tyson please phone the Dogs' Home: 029 2071 1243 or visit Cardiff Dogs' Home, Westpoint Industrial Estate, Penarth Road, open 7 days a week, 10.30 - 4pm. Walked this lovely, snorty staffie boy today and he didn't disappoint. Staff member was a bit concerned giving him to me as she said he was very strong and pulled a lot but that wasn't the Tyson I met today. He was a delight! He did have a mad few minutes biting on his rope lead (I can see why I also needed the chain one!) but he did settle down and trotted along next to me, giving me staffie smiles and slobbery kisses! Such a handsome boy! πΎππΆπΎ

Iβve walked Tyson these past 2 days and he doesnβt pull at all or bite his lead as Iβd been warned he might. Heβs not altogether happy around other big dogs so I kept my distance but heβs a delight to take out otherwise. Heβs a lovely boy with a big heart and Iβm sure with the right home and the love and attention that he deserves he will shine.

What's not to love? Tyson is a typical staffie, a happy smiley boy who is loving life but he needs his forever home so he can give some lucky person his undivided love and attention! We had a rest in the shade where he lay down next to me and we had a quiet moment! This is why I volunteer, for moments like that! β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ A lovely boy! πΎππΎπΆ

Hi everyone I'm Tyson the Staffy and I went out with Alex today for a early morning long walk. I've been at the Hotel for some time now, I really hope that I will find my forever family soon.. I'm struggling to cope and I'm a little stressed. When I first start out on my walk I am so excited, all I want to do is explore and run. Don't worry though I soon settle down and believe it or not, after the first 10 mins I walk with a loose lead, bet you would have never of thought that if you see me as soon as I come out of the Hotel hehehe. Alex tried to video me as evidence, I'm pretty sure she did it but I hate the camera π I also do a great sit but when Alex was videoing me, I was having none of it, even though all the other times I was perfect, hehe sorry Al π€ππ I get a little panicky when I see other dogs (especially at the start) but give it a while and I'm not half as bad once I've eased into my walk. I am very loving and love cuddles, once I get to know you ππ I also look back to make sure you're there, and sometimes give the side eye if I'm feeling extra cheeky hehe. I do bark in my kennel but please don't get put off, I'm not coping well in the situation I'm in, so please don't judge me when I'm at the Hotel. I have so much love and affection to give i just need the right person/people to adopt me into their lives. I love to go on adventures, but I also love to snuggle up on the sofa. Fingers crossed I won't be here for much longer. Lots of LOVE Tyson πππππππ

The lovely bouncy Tyson has been staying for a few days, to give him a break from kennels. This boy thrives in a home environment: he is completely house trained; eats whatever you put in front of him; plays happily with his cuddly toys (not that they remain intact for long) and is so quiet you can almost forget he is there, until you get a quick bark to say the post has arrived. He sleeps through the night, preferably curled up next to you on the bed, and waits patiently by the door for his morning walk.
Much as he loves his walks, his favourite thing is going for car rides. Every time we leave the house, he has a quick wee on the grass, then pulls to the car where he sits by the rear door looking up hopefully. If we do go for a drive and I need to leave him whilst shopping, he will wait quietly, sitting in the driverβs seat, watching the world go by until I return. He is also very good on his walks, trotting along with regular stops for sniffs and messages, but once we get close to home I am dragged to the front door β he has worked out where he lives (albeit temporarily) very quickly.
Today we went to Coffi Co., a new dog-friendly cafe on the other side of the Ely from the Oystercatcher (nice halfway point if you are doing the Ely circuit from CDH). He behaved beautifully, sitting on the bench next to me, or curled up underneath. Every time someone went past there was much wagging of the tail and a huge smile, as only a Staffie can. He made several friends and only once jumped on the table for extra fusses (and to try and sneak a lick of cappuccino).
Tyson is a great dog, full of life and with minimal training would be a perfect life-long companion and source of daily joy.
