Please whisper a gentle welcome to Tinkerbelle This little lady has had a tough time since she arrived at CDH. She had to be rushed straight to the vets as she had a pyometra (a potentially life-threatening infection of the womb common in unspeyed bitches), and she also has a few puncture wounds on her head and neck Tinkerbelle is understandably bewildered and anxious about her change of circumstances, but will very gentle coaxing she eventually trusted us enough to venture out and take a seat on Aunty Sooz's lap We pretty much let Tinkerbelle do her own thing in the vet room, and once she felt brave enough to have a wander around, she began to tentatively explore her new surroundings She had a little sniff at the toys But as most of them were bigger than her, she didn't seem inclined to play with them And although she likes the menu at CDH, she was a bit intimidated at the size of the carry home bags! Don't worry Tinkerbelle - you don't have to eat it all Tinkerbelle won't be able to leave the home until the vets are absolutely sure she is fit and well enough, but the staff are taking applications on her, and if her owners don't come forward she will be available for rehoming as soon as the vets and staff are happy for her to leave the Home. For more information or if you'd like to meet Tinkerbelle please phone the Dogs' Home: 029 2071 1243 or visit Cardiff Dogs' Home, Westpoint Industrial Estate, Penarth Road, open 7 days a week, 10.30 - 4pm.
