We have very sad news. Our beloved forum - which has been our virtual kennels, our office, our go-to place to see the dogs for rehoming, share our wonderful walkers tales, celebrate the happy-ever-afters, is going to be closed. The forum has served us well for nearly 8 years, but sadly the hosting of photographs has become a a major issue as PHOTOBUCKET is introducing price plans from the end of this year, which given the tens of thousands of pictures hosted on this forum is a cost-prohibitive option. We have dabbled with other file-sharing hosts, but as regular forum users will have noticed there are massive issues with links breaking, photo's disappearing etc, and in any event, the architecture on forums in general is pretty dated. Forums have been around for over 25 years. Facebook has come a long way since they started 14 years ago, and Twitter (12 years), Instagram (8 years), and the plethora of other social media apps have largely taken over from the humble forum as a communication tool for multiple users, viewers, friends and supporters. Anyway, we're not going to delete the forum, we'll just let it lie here, so between now and the end of the year we can still look through the 'Happy in their Forever Homes' section and remember fondly the dogs we have helped rehome, and through the Rainbow bridge section and weep for the ones we couldn't save. End of an era, I'm so sad

I am so sad to read this. I am sure this forum has helped to rehome thousands of dogs over the years it has been in existence. I have enjoyed reading all the posts and seeing all the lovely photographs. Well done to all involved in creating and maintaining this forum. I know it must have been a very time-consuming and mostly thankless task. I will miss it.

Pilgrims did such wonderful things for lost and abandoned dogs. Will really miss it. Won't be the same on Facebook but will check in there instead. Thanks so much to everyone who posted updates here - particularly Baglady, whose commentaries never fail to make me laugh! Belle x
