Sasha's interest fell through, so she is still waiting but people have to be 100% as certain as they can be that they are right for the dog and the dog is right for them, far better to find out at this stage than further down the line

Tina Turner sang, 'Women of a certain age' ...... ..........overlooked in favour of youth and good looks, but look beyond the imperfect teeth and the gently greying muzzle and there lies a peach of a dog. She is grounded, comfortable in her own skin and she's acquired many skills over the years. She's lost the mad exuberance of youth and walks with a steady progress, taking interest in everything but not going overboard about it. She walks a perfect companionable pace so your shoulder sockets are exactly the same when you return - no pulling or snatching at the lead. The one time she loses a bit of self control is when she wants to lavish her affection and love on the person who is lucky enough to be spending time with her. She sits on command, enjoys treats and makes loads of eye contact. As we began our walk I retrieved something from my car and she hopped onto the back seat as quick as you like - obviously likes going out for a spin. ;D I don't know what brought this little lady into the Home but on the evidence of today I would guess she has been used to having a close and loving bond with her former owner. The only information I don't have is how she is with other dogs. We met a very lively terrier and I think this made her a little anxious, but perhaps someone else can fill in that gap soon. This dog is special

We walked Sasha on Sunday and she's the most gorgeous dog in the world - I've fallen completely in love with her! She's everything mentioned in the posts above: she walks really well, sits on command, enjoys her treats and is extremely affectionate and alert.
We didn't know her name until we got back to the home, so we nicknamed her 'Belle' for the duration of our walk because she's such a beautiful girl!
We walked past four other dogs and she showed absolutely no interest in any of them, so from what I've seen she seems great with other animals.
She's such a lovely natured dog and has obviously been well looked after. I'm now completely besotted with her and would take her home in a flash... The only issue being that we're going away on honeymoon for five weeks in June, and have decided it wouldn't be fair to leave her in the care of others for so long, and risk putting this gorgeous girl through any more upheaval. So here's hoping she finds a loving owner to take care of her soon... She'd make a perfect companion and would give so much back to her new owner.

Hi Amanda, if you havn't already done so, phone the Home - 029 2071 1243 - and ask if your name and details can be added to the interest list for Sasha. Sometimes, for a lot of different reasons, the first interest doesn't work out then they will give you a ring ;D
