A Labrador / Staffie mix - ahhhhh Blue, you tick all the boxes! This lovely lad has only just had his first vaccination, so isn't allowed further than the vet room at the moment, but boy oh boy was he glad to get out of his kennel! Very often dogs give us a clue as to whether they are likely to be house-trained, and I would put my bottom dollar on Blue being spic and span around the home. *Pause for mopping up time*Blue is only a youngster, about 1 year old. He is perfectly charming and he did steal a few kissy face licks when he got the chance. We look forward to getting to know Blue a little better when he's ready to come out to play, but from what we've seen, he's a delightfully friendly, polite and well-mannered laddie. Blue is available for rehoming from 24 May, and if you'd like to know more please phone the Dogs' Home: 029 2071 1243 or visit Cardiff Dogs' Home, Westpoint Industrial Estate, Penarth Road, open 7days a week, 10.30 - 4pm

Through absolutely no fault of his own, Blue has been returned to CDH Apparently his rehomer has been taken ill and was unable to continue to care for Blue. They say that Blue is extremely loving and gentle but can be a little anxious around other dogs. He's great with people, and doesn't like to be apart from his peeps for very long, so someone who is around most of the day and who can help him feel more secure when he's left would be ideal for this lovely boy.

Poor blue! I know he had a lot of admirers before he was re-homed so hopefully he won't be back for long. ;D

My husband walked Blue on Sunday whilst we walked Missy.
Blue was very distressed in his kennel and it absolutely broke my heart. He just had to have a break, bless him.
He bounced out of the kennel and bounded down the road by the home. I thought he would get on my husbands nerves but I was very very wrong! He calmed right down as he walked and his lead was slack as he trotted nicely along.
He was very affectionate and wanted attention and affection more than treats. Blue is a typical lab through and through. Having had 2 labs, I can say this with some sincerity. He is full of love and positivity!!!
He is a beautiful, fine figure of a dog with a shiny coat and a sweet face. He has a slight sore lump/area on his ear which I believe the vets were going to remove (excuse me if I am wrong).
Lovely Blue is deeply unhappy in his kennel and all he wants is love. He is young so needs the usual stuff like a daily walk, boundaries and routine. My labs were a little energetic until they got to about 12 months old and then they both found their love for sleep and food!!! He looks very much like a lab rather than a staffie (although both breeds are lovely).
He really is a sweetheart and I hate to see him locked up. We took him into the sensory garden and he was happy to be out but didn't know how to catch a ball or play etc.
I just love Blue, as do my kids and now my husband too. he will make someone very very happy. ;D ;D ;D

Blue came out for a little play time in the garden today. He is such a handsome boy, his coat was absolutely gleaming in the sun! Blue is so well mannered, he sits for treats and loves a cuddle. This guys is going to make someone a fab companion. After frolicking about in the garden Blue enjoyed a dig a roll session in the sandpit, he really is a playful pup! ;D Blue is not very happy in kennels so anyone who is interested in him would need to ask to take him out for a walk or a play in the garden to see his true potential.

Awwwww 'Samsons Dad' here, he looks like he could be Samsons younger brother. If he's even half the joy Samson is then he's gonna make a fantastic sofa warmer

I am so very pleased about this. Blue was so wasted and miserable stuck in a kennel. We loved him loads and would love to see some photos? xx
