Please whisper hello to Jinsky
Jinsky was surrendered to CDH along with her GF Heidi, so we know a little about these two lovely young ladies!
Jinsky is an adorable, 5 year old 'teacup' yorkie. Although she is indeed tiny, Jinsky is a little on the porky side! Sorry Jinsky, it had to be said
We're told Jinsky is 'brilliant' with children, and has happily lived with another dog and 6 cats. She travels well, is clean, doesn't chew anything she isn't supposed to, and doesn't mind being left for periods up to four hours. Jinsky greets visitors with a terrier-typical yappy welcome, but has never shown any signs of aggression.
Although Jinsky seemed to be a little more timid and shy than Heidi, once she had got to know Josh she was putty in his hands! And in his lap - this little lady is all about the cwtches!
Jinsky does have an on-going issue with her back leg. Apparently she had cruciate surgery in December, but due to a bereavement in her family she did not receive adequate post op care and physio. She is not weight bearing on her leg at all and the staff will be consulting with our vets to discuss what can be done to help her regain full use of her limb. She doesn't appear to be in any pain or distress, but rehomers will need to ensure they are able to continue with any care/exercise regime recommended by the vets.
Don't worry Jinsky, you're in good hands now sweetheart
Jinsky is sharing a large vet cage with her bf Heidi.
Like all girls, they share their secrets......
Although it would be nice for the girls to be rehomed together, the staff may consider separating them if a suitable home for the pair can't be found. Whilst they obviously enjoy each other's company, they don't appear to be overly dependent on each other. Jinsky is the less outgoing and confident of the two, and is available for rehoming immediately. Apparently neither dogs have ever been walked on lead, although they have had access to a large garden. In addition to any special help she needs to recover the use of her leg, Jinsky may need some help getting used to a lead, and to the sights and sounds and smells she will encounter when out for walkies.
If you'd like more information on her, please phone the Dogs' Home: 029 2071 1243 or visit Cardiff Dogs' Home, Westpoint Industrial Estate, Penarth Road, open 7days a week, 10.30 - 4pm.
