How come he was returned again?!
I met this sweetheart yesterday and leaving him behind broke my heart. I cried half way home!

I walked bud last week and he was absolutely fab. A little bit excited to start with but once he settled down he was lovely. I hope he finds a good home, no idea what happened to him but he deserves another chance. Good luck mate your a very handsome young man, just be a good boy. Told you he was handsome.

This handsome boy deserves a loving, caring home with people who have the patience to give him the time and attention he deserves.
If I could bring him home, I would.
Good luck little man, fingers crossed for you.

The weather was bobbins on Monday and I had the pleasure of Buddy boys company. Quick tip he'd found a tennis ball on the way from his kennel to the enterance of the home so he carried that and he was absolutely fab. He was focused on that and nothing else, good boy Bud. But on the downside he's a big girl and doesn't like the rain but then again it was tipping down so let you off Buddy boy. Two walks and two good ones let's give him a chance people, I for one think he's fab. No pub though he's too young....well maybe a pop then and some crisps. Keep it up Bud xx

I have walked Bud twice over the past few days and I must say he's amazing. Yes he comes out excitable, but today a little work with him and some treats had this stopped very quickly, then when you set off on a nice brisk walk he just trots along beautifully with no pulling at all, in fact there's always slack on the lead. Bud loves to take his time to stop and have a sniff in the bushes and grass and if you want to stop to make a fuss then he laps up the attention. Bud isn't too keen on having any four legged friends, but if you get him in a short lead and encourage him past other dogs quickly then he's fine. Bud does have some training needs but investment in that would be worth it for the love that you'd get in return.

Is there any reason why Bud no longer likes other dogs? At the beginning of his thread he seemed ok :-( Also, why was he returned the 2nd time, does anyone know?

Hi Wayno Are you trying to comment on Bud's thread? Just hit the 'reply' button (not the quote button) It's at the very top of his rehoming thread, and hitting it will open a window where you can comment. x

I buddy love this beautiful boy! Piggle wiggle aka bud!
He is such an affectionate boy. You'll never be short of a cuddle with bud around.
It's heartbreaking that's he's growing up in kennels. He really deserves his forever sofa.
He's traveled so well in my car. I didn't hear a peep out of him. I have a dog hammock in the back seat and bud made the most of this lounging on a duvet while I chauffeured him around!
He came with me to visit a friend and we all watched the rugby together on Sunday. He went straight to the duvet again and enjoyed having a chew of his doggy treat. He did get a little bouncey but It was completely understandable as he was so excited to be around company. He was easily distracted by cocktail sausages and asking him some commands. He is such a clever lad. He can do a beautiful 'sit', he can do both 'paws', he does 'lay down' and 'roll over'! I think we've got a 'Britain's got talent' finalist at the home!
He's so lovely to walk to. He walks well both on a slip lead and a harness. He's been nothing but well behaved walking past other dogs when I've taken him out. He can pull towards dogs but I'm sure that's the staffy inquisitiveness in him!
Bud is truly a special boy and I've got everything crossed he finds his perfect home soon.

Bud is a gorgeous boy who has shown me how far a little bit of patience and perseverance can go. He is very excitable and just wants to play a lot but that's a given when he is still so young. He loves puddles and rolling around in leaves and walks very nicely on a lead when he is calm. I've found giving him a ball for the initial part of the walk helps calm down that "WALK TIME! WALK TIME! " excitement that dogs get. He does lose interest in the ball eventually when there are more stimulating things for him. My last walk with him showed me how loyal he can be , I misjudged a path in grangemoor park and ended up with my foot in a hole and falling down into the mud. He was immediately at my side trying to give me kisses and made sure I was okay and the whole walk back, he was so gentle and kept checking on me, it really made my heart melt. When passing other dogs Bud can be very good if the other dog doesn't try to engage a reaction , but when they do we just keep on moving and he soon forgets about it . All he needs is a little encouragement and he'll be a darling of a staffie pup! I understand Bud is one of the longer residents at the Home but that shouldn't be a deterrent if he catches your eye. He will give you so many years of joy and I believe he could be one of the most loyal dogs you could have. Every dog deserves another chance. Always. Much love for my little staffie pup!

Bud was such an easy walk today I thought I'd share some of the pictures I managed to snap on our walk! Bud loves puddles , he'll make sure he splashes through most of them on our walks. He turns around and looks at me a lot on our walks , probably to see if I'm watching or not so he can try and cause some mischief.... This was the best picture I could take of him smiling at me he gives me a look that says 'No Lau' I aint up to anything ....honest!! ' He's a very calm boy when you get to know him , he just needs a little reminder to stay on task from time to time! Living proof that first impressions aren't always a true representation of character is bud in a nutshell. Excitable pup who can pull some of the most hilarious faces!

What a fantastic dog. He honestly is no trouble at all. He is not bothered by other dogs, traffic or people, he just wants to be stroked and loved. He was a real gentleman, looking behind and giving me smiles as we walked. I asked him to sit at the traffic lights to cross the road, and he obliged, then rolled over to ask for belly tickles. He has a wonderful temperament and really needs to be adopted soon. He is great!

Another amazing walk today with the perkiest staffie I know! Made it down the lane with minimal excitement which is always a bonus for this pup! He was excellent at crossing the roads , would wait and sit down when asked and wouldn't mess around when told to cross and was even calmer at passing other dogs than he has been recently. So today I took Bud to what I have so creatively named 'squishy fields' it's been a proper hit with every dog that I've taken so I knew he would find it a treat. The grass is bouncy and there is so much to smell and I'm not sure many dogs have been around here much , so its very novel. I am already aware that Bud loves a good squirm in the right bit of grass , he looked at me and waited till I said 'Go on then' before he started rolling around. We sure did tire each other out running around and jumping over mounds of grass , which I encouraged so he could left off some steam and even after we got all hyped up he was quick to calm down and walked nicely next to me back to the kennels. Honestly, if you like how Bud looks and you want a playful loyal dog then he is a perfect choice! Please don't let his kennel behaviour put you off when he can be so good and calm when he gets to know you , all he needs is a little patience.

This lovely smiley man was very well behaved yesterday , walked with me very nicely and was as always full of so much character! He loved digging around in the pile of cut grass on the other side of the fence ( And rolling in it!) And he'd always look at me as if he was saying how good he was being! Except when he was being a little bit too cheeky but he got down for me as soon as I stopped laughing and asked! Look at those ears! Bud was definitely transfixed by the balloons! It took a while for us it get back to the walk! As always Bud is such a joy and a laugh to walk , well worth the effort you put in with him. It's always such a treat to walk with him! Such a special pup!
