Happiness is a gift that we all have received since birth. It was such a beautiful gift that we have hidden, like dogs with bones. Now it's time to pull out that bone, Muffin. Love, be loved and happy.

I know a lot of you were fond of Muffin, so here's a quick update for you. We were lucky enough to pick Muffin ( now Millie) up last Friday and she has proved to be a really wonderful dog. She went to Action Petz in Bridgend for a couple of hours on Saturday and had a good run round, no barking at other dogs or snapping, just glad to be running freely. She has a new best friend, surprisingly a Malamut, that she torments and playfully fights with. No bother at all. She has enjoyed several long walks, this afternoon we did Roath Park including the lake, the wild garden and the rose garden. Even though there were other dogs around, she was happy and content just to be out walking. This evening it was a coupe of miles locally, again no issues. She is currently crashed out on her bean bag in front of the fire, snoring away. She is very playful and always happy to see you each morning. So far, I am very pleased to say there have been no issues at all with her, she has settled in very well and seems to be enjoying our company as much as we enjoy her's. She has proved to be very popular with the neighbours and especially their children and she seems to thrive on the attention she gets from everyone. We look forward to many happy times with her.

oh my goodness that is soooooo amazing to hear, go Muffin!! It never ceases to amaze me that some dogs can wait months for a home, and they end up being the most perfect addition to a household but hundreds of people just walked past their kennel time and again. it happens again and again, and it's such a shame. Well, their loss is your gain for sure Wonderful update x

A wonderful and very happy ending. I'm over the moon to hear it. I live by roath park and often hope I might see some of the dogs down there so you never know! X

I've been out of the loop for a while and COULD NOT BE MORE THRILLED to come back to find that the lovely Muffin has been adopted and found what looks like the PERFECT home (and a lovely new name ) Although it's awful for a dog to spend so long in kennels, I wonder whether being surrounded by so many dogs and people was actually the best thing for this girl. Either way, CDH staff and Purple Pilgrims have done this girl proud and have doubtless saved her life so that she and her new people can enjoy each other for years to come. Quite overwhelmed with happiness for Millie
