I'll have to see this new collar tomorrow! I have to agree 'macho' doesn't suit this gentle lady

Dedicating my 50th post to my favourite lady in the home. This girl is always excited to see my when I drop by her kennel and I've found she respects me a lot on walks and will always walk nicely by my side. This big softie has got so much love to give , she'll stop me for a fuss on walks and that lovely tail of hers is constantly wagging! I'm loving the new collar she has been given by another purple pilgrim , it suits her a lot more than 'macho dog' collar and makes her look oh so beautiful. Wouldn't you agree? Yarna certainly thinks so! Had a little bit of a rest and a cuddle up in grangemoor park , I have to say her eye is looking so much better now! She definitely loved the time out in the sun! See you tomorrow pretty lady!

So Yarna took the family and I for a walk today. What a fabulous girl she is. She has an immense amount of power in those shoulders and was keen to get out for her morning walk, so unsurprisingly she did pull at first. But once settled into a steady pace she became a 'snuffle hound' completely engaged in checking out who or what had been along those pathways before her. She seems to have a habit of dropping a shoulder and trying to roll into 'interesting' scents ! It became a little game, pretty sure she was just playing with us, as she just smiled sweetly back at our attempts to keep her on the straight and narrow. i love big powerful dogs, and Yarna is magnificent, but also sweet natured and loves a cuddle. She enjoyed a couple of drinks of water while we out, but was hilarious when a little treat appeared .. She does a fab 'sit' and 'paw' and took the little treat gently, but for the rest of the walk kept a careful eye on the bag the treat came out of, clever girl this! We had been warned to be aware when passing other dogs, but on two occasions small terrier type dogs were passed with just a look of interest but no aggression or vocalisation. All in all a lovely walk and I know all the family were smitten by the charming Yarna. This girl deserves a home, so if you understand what a big dog like this needs, you should spend a little time with the sublime Yarna, I promise you won't be disappointed..

Ohhhh lovely Yarna! Myself and my 13 year old took Yarna out on Friday for just short of 2 hours, we had so much fun! I love this girl, she is very affectionate and loving, she is a strong girl and will power walk you down the lane but she settles into a lovely pace after that, and she is a lot better on her harness that she now walks with Our 2 hour outing was, at first, fulled by my son wanting a snack so we started walking down towards B & Q and the buger van, son got his snack, Yarna got a sausage ( shhhhh Yarna ) which she was very gentle taking, she even sits and gives a paw without having to ask, that melts my heart We then kept walking, down Hadfield Road, to Leckwith retail park, and back again to CDH via the ely trail. Yarna loves a good sniff, and we had a sit down in a grass patch and she sat in my lap and had belly scratches ( Well, trying to sit on my lap! ). I really hope somebody sees this gentle giant for the lovely dog that she is, somebody must have a Yarna sized gap in their lives And she is looking ever so amazing in her lovely pink collar, so glad it fits, Yarna sparkles anyway, but it makes her shine that little bit more xx

A bump up for lovely Yarna! Such a sweet, gentle giant She was so good yesterday, as it was the induction the car park was full of both people and dogs, and I took a little picture of her as she was waiting to go back into kennels as she was so calm and chilled out Will make my day to see you get your forever home lovely girl
