Terrier lovers are in for a treat, meet the our scrummy lad Skippy! As you can probably see Skippy is a bit of a cuddle monster! Although he had never met us before he greeted us like old friends and was soon up on aunty Becky's lap enjoying a kiss and a cuddle [img style="max-width:100%;" src="[img style="max-width:100%;" src=" Skippy knows how to get the attention and was soon rolling on his back asking for tummy tickles As well as being ever so handsome, Skippy was able to show us a lovely sit for some treats, although he did struggle to hold it for more than a few seconds as he was so excited about the tasty sausages! More please! Although Skippy knows the command sit he had aunty Becky well and truely under his spell and was able to get sausages off her just by looking at her If Skippy is not recalimed by his owner he will be available for rehoming on 5th February, but staff will be taking applications on him now. If you have any questions on Skippy or would like more information on him please phone the Dogs' Home: 029 2071 1243 or visit Cardiff Dogs' Home, Westpoint Industrial Estate, Penarth Road, open 7 days a week, 10.30 - 4pm. Mon/Thurs till 6pm For more information about the rehoming process at Cardiff Dogs Home, please click on the link below: Rehoming Process

I walked this gorgeous little boy on Sunday and believe me he really is little - much smaller than I thought he would be from his photos. I have a very soft spot for terriers, especially handsome, mischievous little ones, and Skip (probably called this because he absolutely skips along on a walk) didn't disappoint. I have some great photos which I will post to Friends Facebook page - I've forgotten how to load to proboards.
Sunday was a very rainy day and I think there must have been a game of rugby on somewhere because CDH was quite quiet when I got there. Skipper came out of his kennel shouting with delight and I was told he could be a bit noisy. It must have been the excitement of another walk because once we were underway he was yappy no more; might have been saving his breath though because he goes at a very good pace - nose to the ground smelling every inch of the lane and in typical terrier-style investigating every blade of grass or patch of undergrowth when he thought he could scent some small furry creature.
He was an absolute sweetheart to walk - comical, cute and not bothered by the traffic or cyclists or any passers by. My partner's daughter absolutely loved him (he happily let her pick him up for a cuddle and a photo opportunity) and if she'd had her way he would have been smuggled home in her coat. It was a very wet walk but he didn't seem to mind at all - skipping in and out of puddles - happy to be out and about exploring. I thiink he'd have walked all day if we'd let him.
When we got back to CDH he happily snuggled on my lap so that I could dry him off and soon started letting the staff know he was back. He's obviously a little boy who loves company and if you like cute terriers with big personalities then you'd love this one. He's a young boy who I think would love lots of walks - he was very good on the lead and is naturally inquistive.
I really hope he finds his furever home soon because he's a smasher.

How often can you shout "What is in your mouth???" in one day... ask my Poppy.

I had the pleasure of the company of this teeny ball of unbridled energy today! He was the most enthusiastic dog I have ever met, and for such a tiny boy,he has a huge voice! He was barking with excitment before we'd even got outside the gate, and this continued for most of the walk, until he tired himself out a smidge (and I mean a smidge... he really does have bundles of energy!) He was a good walker, enjoyed a good sniff at everything and did sneak a quick cwtch with me whilst we were waiting for him to go back in. He has a huge personality and I smiled for the entire walk, his absolute joy during walkies was infectious! A wonderful boy who deserves his forever home!!

As on our last walk together, the teeny Skippy tested out his very big voice... I feel like he was shouting 'HERE I AM!' over and over again, very proud of himself and his joie de vivre! He's a lovely chappie and great fun to walk!

Skipper & Baz had a great time in the garden yesterday after a lovely walk! Baz showed Skipper the ropes, especially on what he needed to do to get Susie to part with the pate!

I am surprised skipper hasn't flown out of cdh. He is such a cute little boy. Yes he loves a good chat but so do us humans. When I was asked to get skipper out the weekend he was such a different boy, just goes to show that maybe this boy needs a hone to settle into. He was so excited by the different route we took he didn't want to chat, and just wanted to explore. He loved spending time in the garden with children and us adults. As well as Baz and Cami at a later stage too.

Skipper is a right little tinker and I love him for it! He made me smile so much when I took him out last. I tried to get some nice pics but he was way too fast for the camera and just looks like a little black blur. Love the video with Baz- those are possibly the waggiest tails I've ever seen!! ) A lovely little dog with a big personality x

Had the pleasure of Skipper's company today. What a lovely lad. Little bit vocal as we set off but then settled down for a good sniff and brisk walk! He wasn't bothered by the heavy traffic rumbling by; just pleased to be out. We had a sit down ( I'm much older than you Skipper!) and he jumped on my lap for a cwtch. This little guy has so much love to give and will not take up too much room on the sofa! Hope you find your forever home soon.
