Please welcome Lulu! Lulu is a two year old Rottie cross, who has been signed over to the Home by her owners. As Lulu wasn't vaccinated when she was signed over, she has been on 'soft quarantine' in her kennel until her rehoming date, which was 23rd March, but as she now has some vaccine protection we were able to take her into the garden for her rehoming pics! As she has been surrendered by her previous owner, the staff at the Home will have detailed information on Lulu, and they will take applications for her immediately. If you have any questions or would like more information on Lulu please phone the Dogs' Home: 029 2071 1243 or visit Cardiff Dogs' Home, Westpoint Industrial Estate, Penarth Road, open 7 days a week, 10.30 - 4pm. For more information about the rehoming process at Cardiff Dogs Home, please click on the link below: Rehoming Process

Swoon this girlie is lush!Lulu is such a happy girl, she came out ready for her walk & was so pleased to meet a new person. Lulu walked brilliantly, she is very inquisitive & has a very good nose...nothing went unsniffed! Lulu is obviously house trained as it was straight down to business as soon as in the lane. Walkers do take more than one poo bag though as this girlie likes to hop & do her business... I really enjoyed my walk with lulu today, she really put a smile on my face this afternoon. She'll be top of my list to walk at the weekend if she's still there.

I am finally able to post pic's thanks to an amazing phone hacker Anyway....took the lovely Lulu out last Friday with my eldest son who is 13, what a lovely girl! She came out all happy with a big smile on her face Was happy to have a scratch in just the right spot from my son, she walked very gently, walked by other dogs no problem and is very engaging, some dog's, tend not to come out of their shell right away, but Lulu was all smiles and unfazed by everything, just seems that she loves life! Look forward to taking you out again Lola, you are a star!

Ohhh well! Been to the home for an hour, both yesterday and today, enough time to take one dog out, and Lulu came with me both times! But i'm not complaining, this girl is amazing! She is so good on the lead, hardly any pulling at all, responds very well to her name, all you have to do is say her name quietly and she looks up at you with that lovely smile of hers Lulu loves exploring, and having a good old sniff, she does some fab Staffie-esq snorts so I was wondering if she has a bit of Staffie in with the Rottie mix? Does not matter all that much anyway, as she is a fab dog, walks passed other dogs and people no problem, she was fine with an off lead dog that we bumped into, and it was a small scruffy terrier so a lot smaller than Lulu! She LOVES having her head scratched and seems to like being talked to, if you are quiet for too long, she looks back to see if you are still around Also, a bit strange, but she has a unique smell that does not smell doggy at all, so it just makes you just want to give her a cuddle all the more! Lovely Lulu! I hope you find your forever family soon lovely girl! xxx

It sounds like the lovely Lulu is one of your favourites eve1984 - and who can blame you! Lulu is such a bonny girl with a smashing personality! She loves to engage with you whilst out on a walk - and with other dogs too. Yesterday we encountered a professional dog walker and her canine charges - all were off their leads bar one, and an opportunity to avoid them didn't enter into the picture. But Lulu was absolutely fine with the dogs that approached her - she just wanted to say hello and join in on all the fun...it was such a shame that she couldn't... I hope that the opportunity to have fun and games with doggy pals will materialize soon for this beautiful and sweet-natured girl.

That is such a shame to see Lulu back at hotel CDH.
She was my 1st walk as a walker and she was a delight.
I'll defiantly be looking out for your name on my next walk but hopefully you'll be settling into a new cosy forever home before then. X

Out on a date with Lulu today, and what a sparky girl she is. In early at CDH and my wife and I took the chance to sign her out, an opportunity we have been looking forward to. Slightly surprised when she came out as in my minds eye I expected her to be bigger, yes I know I had seen the photos, but I guess the Rottie-cross thing must of lodged somewhere in my brain and I had fooled myself ( this isn't unusual ! ) She is a super pretty girl, and I think I agree with an earlier poster who thought there must be a dash of staffie in this mix, as she deffinatly has the head shape, and cheeky grin going on there. And again think big staff in terms of size rather than a full blown Rottie. Colouring though is all Rottweiler, fabulous Black and Tan, lovely she was in a bit of a hurry when we came out, as if to say 'need to stretch the legs today folks' and we set off at a fine pace, as soon as we hit the greenery though she made a beeline for the grasses and started taking mouthfuls of the longer fronds, all attempts to stop her were ignored and as I've seen before the grass quickly had the effect of an emetic and she lost her breakfast. At this point we sat down with her and gave her a drink, we discussed if we should just turn around and take her back. Lulu though now looked bright as a button and was keen to get on, we thought 'keep a steady pace see how she goes' Well she was fantastic, full of energy, happy and engaged, and interestingly showed no further interest in eating grass. There are lots of discussions on 'the net' about Grass eating, as it has no nutritional value for dogs, but it looked to me as if she felt a bit rough, knew what to do and did it!! Clever girl Sit at a bench and she is straight in for as much affection as you want to give, get up and she is ready to trek on, Lulu is a wonderful companion, absolutely no problem around other dogs, people, cyclists all without the bat of an eyelid, she might be a chaser though as a couple of strolling birds were of significant interest Sunday morning, warm and sunny, strolling along with a happy four footed friend.....really does it get any better than that?? Try it, but try it with Lulu, .............you will want to take her home!!
