Please welcome Roxy Beagle
Roxy is about 5 years of age, and is a little on the chunky side (sorry Roxy), probably due to having too many litters and not enough exercise in her young life. We know that she has changed hands quite recently. Apparently she was living a miserable life, kept outdoors churning out puppies... someone took her in because they felt sorry for her, but decided they couldn't keep her, so she has ended up homeless.
She is a typical houndy - and her nose is her window to the world! Roxy is constantly sniffing her surroundings, hoping to happen upon an interesting scent to follow...
She's a sociable and polite girl, and was happy to pass the time of day with Bas...
The two dogs had a mooch around the garden together, Roxy has lovely doggy manners!
Roxy is settling down into kennel life quite well, and whilst she is happy enough to say 'hi' to whoever is around, she seems to maintain an air of independence...
Quite happy in her own little world!
Despite her chunkiness, Roxy is still fairly agile, and keen to try out the seating areas!
The sofa in the rehoming hub hit the button! soft and warm and comfy...
But that beagle nose was soon sniffing the air....
Yey! I KNEW I could smell sausage!
No such thing as a free lunch here Roxy! Although Roxy doesn't seem to have had much formal training, she was happy to go through her repertoire of poses to try to earn a treat! She tries her best to do a cute beg, and can hold it for a nanosecond... That's good enough for us Roxy!
Roxy does have sore ears at the moment, and is being treated by the vets. Hopefully this will clear up pretty quickly, but do speak to the staff about any on-going care/medication she may need. If you'd like to meet Roxy, please contact the staff Please contact the staff - TEL 01633 290 902 between 11am - 1pm or 2pm - 4pm, or pop in for a visit! No appointment needed!
Rehoming fees are from £100 - £200 depending on the age/breed of the dog. 1st vaccination, flea & worm treatment, and microchip are included, and it is a condition of the rehoming contract that all dogs are neutered/spayed aged six months. Subsidised vouchers are available at £35, this is in addition to the rehoming fee.
All applicants will be homechecked prior to approval.
