Well helloooooo Lily Lily was found wandering by the police, and brought into CDH. Obviously we have no idea how long she has been straying, and it's quite possible that she has wandered quite a long way from home, as northern breeds instinctively run for miles and miles! She has had a check over by the vets, and they have noted a small mass on her abdomen, which will be removed when she is speyed if her owners don't come forward for her. It doesn't appear to be anything serious, so paws crossed Lily will be right as rain after her small op! Lily is a clever, and verrrrry affectionate girlie! She is pretty passionate about sausages too! And gave us an instantaneous 'sit', 'high five', and 'down' in exchange for the good stuff! And she smiled all the while! Lily is verrrrrry affectionate, and loves cwtches! No such thing as too many cuddles eh Lily? If Lily's owners don't come forward for her, she will be available for rehoming from 16th January, but it's possible the vets will want to ensure she is fully recovered from her spey and her histology reports are favourable before she leaves, so potential rehomers would need to discuss timings with the staff at the home. If you would like more information or would like to meet Lily, please phone the Dogs' Home: 029 2071 1243 or visit Cardiff Dogs' Home, Westpoint Industrial Estate, Penarth Road, open 7 days a week, 10.30 - 4pm. Mon/Thurs till 6pm For more information about the rehoming process at Cardiff Dogs Home, please click on the link below: REHOMING PROCESS

We walked Lily again today. She is so lovely and friendly I hope she gets a new home soon. She is very forward going but does stop to have a sniff and was constantly checking that we were still there with her. When we went to what I assume were new areas for her she was bit hesitant but was happy enough once we walked ahead. She is so beautiful and loves a cuddle, did not chase anything and although interested was certainly not aggressive towards any other dogs. Such a fantastic husky!!

Me and my partner took the beautiful Lily out for a walk on the Sunday and what a friendly dog, She started pulling on the lead at the start of the walk but once she got into the walk she was very relaxed and even rolled over on the grass for some belly scratches and sniffed out the odd stick when we took her on the river path. We passed other dogs at a distance and she didn't even notice them and strutted a nice strolling speed showing off that beautiful coat of hers. I hope she pulls through her operation a ok and that she gets the loving home she deserves Hopefully by the time we have finished our husky research we might even put an application and be able to take her home
