Roscoe might just have the widest smile of any dog that I have met, up to now! As soon you walk up to his kennel, that happy face lights up and he greets you like a long-lost friend.
Brought in as a stray, we have no background information on his previous home life, though the resident cat, Sweep, gave him such a fright that he doesn’t seem to be a seasoned cat-chaser!
Only a young boy, Roscoe was born in January 2016, making him just over a year old. We know this because he is microchipped, but was passed on from his original owner and nobody has updated his information. If his owners cannot be traced and don’t come to collect him, he will be free to leave after 28th February.
This dog is such a clown! He loves, and I mean LOVES to play. He does this with such enthusiasm and energy, that he might be better in a home without very young children and tiny dogs, just in case he bowls them over. Roscoe started off pure white – so startlingly white, in fact, that my camera just couldn’t get the exposure right, but the first time that we threw the ball he flung himself upon it and rolled over and over in the mud!
After his play session, Lewella tried to clean him up a bit, though it wasn’t easy as he thought that she wanted to have a wrestling game with him.
If you are an active person, looking for a dog who will be eternally cheerful and ready to join in with whatever you do, then Roscoe might be the boy for you.
