Well hello there Curly! This darling little lad arrived at the Home recently, and has wowwed visitors to the Home! Although he isn't vaccinated yet so can't go out for walks, we took him outside for a quick toilet break.... Gotta look your best for your photo shoot Curly! Let's get that bandana on! Awwwwww, picture perfect! Curly loved the view over the river! Hello there Mr Swan! But we couldn't wait to see just how much fun we could have with Curly! Back in the vet room, Curly had his pick from the toy box! And he soon found his favourite! Awwww, play-bowing to the squeaky toy! Curly loves toys! The noisier the better! And he simply couldn't bear to be parted from this one! Take it! G'wan, I dare you!In fact, Curly didn't seem to mind sharing one little bit! He just asked in universal dog language for another one! If Curly's owners don't come to claim him he will be available for rehoming from 1st March. He has already had a lot of interest, and the staff are not taking any more applications on him at the moment. However, having 3 applications doesn't always result in a firm home offer - as poor little Peter discovered this week! Sometimes introductions don't go to plan, sometimes on reflection people change their minds, sometimes the staff may feel that a different household would be more suitable, so it's always worth giving the home a call near the rehoming due date just to check that someone has been approved to adopt. If you would like more information please phone the Dogs' Home: 029 2071 1243 or visit Cardiff Dogs' Home, Westpoint Industrial Estate, Penarth Road, open 7 days a week, 10.30 - 4pm. It seems Curly has found himself back at the home, I'm sure through no fault of his own. We took him to the M&S meet and greet yesterday and he behaved impeccably. We walked down the Ely Trail and he was fab on the lead, no pulling just trotting along clearly happy to be out and about. He was so well behaved whilst at the meet and greet and lovely and calm even though there were a lot of people about wanting to make a fuss of him. He was great with the children that came to say hello to him, and was also really good with the other dogs. It was very busy down there and there were quite a few people enquiringly about adopting him, so fingers crossed he'll get to go to his forever home very soon. He's such a sweet little boy, I'm sure he won't be waiting long. (it was so busy and I was enjoying spending time with him and talking to everyone down there that I forgot to take any pics - sorry! )

He looks like a Cairn Terrier, to me. They're super little dogs and very long-lived.
