Look who we met today! This beautiful girl was brought into the Home today, just as we were about to leave. We would normally give an incoming newbie a little while to settle into kennels before bringing them out for pictures, but as we had our camera to hand, and as Izzy seemed more than comfortable around strangers, we thought it would be rude not to stay and welcome her to her new accommodation! Izzy was brought in after being found straying. We really don't know anything else about her at the moment, and obviously it's possible her owners are looking for her and she may be reclaimed. Let's hope so eh Izzy? Her coat is clipped quite short, and she looks like she has recently had a salon/spa day.... As she had only just arrived, we didn't want to stress Izzy by putting her through her paces, we just dropped her lead and kick up her heels for a little while. If Izzy isn't reclaimed by her owners, she will be available for rehoming from 24th July, but the staff will take applications on incoming dogs from the moment they arrive. If you'd like to meet Izzy please contact NEWPORT CITY DOGS HOME for more information. TEL 01633 290 902 between 11am - 1pm and 2pm - 4pm, on weekdays, 11am - 1pm and 2pm - 3.30pm on Saturday. Please note: the home is CLOSED on Sundays. Rehoming fees are from £100 - £200 depending on the age/breed of the dog, and include 1st vaccination, flea & worm treatment, neutering and microchip.

It seems Izzy got busy wandering off on her ownsome - but happily her peeps came straight down to reclaim her! *phew* Gotta love a happy ending!
