Well Hellooooooooooo Handsome! This fabulous fella is Gus, and he's a big three year old puppy dawg! Gus has been signed over to the home as sadly his owner died recently. Gus seems in great condition, maybe a little on the podgy side, but super friendly and affectionate! Miss Jenn thought he might like a bit of a wash & brush up, and he simply loves being groomed More of that please Miss Jenn! We took Gus into the garden for some zoomies and cuddles, Gus couldn't decide which he liked best... As Gus has been signed over, the staff have lots of information about him. He has lived with children, and has been great with dogs of all breeds and kitties! He is very excitable, a bit of a goofball, and can be a little clumsy, but he's got the most fabulous nature and seems to be a good-to-go family guy! If you would like more information, or would like to meet him, please phone the Dogs' Home: 029 2071 1243 or visit Cardiff Dogs' Home, Westpoint Industrial Estate, Penarth Road, open 7 days a week, 10.30 - 4pm. I had the pleasure of meeting Gus the day he arrived at CDH. And oh boy what a treat!
If you like your dogs to be big and goofy then Gus is the fella for you.
Despite his change in circumstances and never having met any of us before, he came happily out of kennels and bounded across the car park to the pen whilst we waited for the garden to become free.
As Gus arrived looking (and smelling!) a little like he could use a spa day, we pulled out some brushes and Gus became entranced. This boy absolutely LURVES ❤❤❤ to be brushed. He was in a trance with ecstacy 😍 and everytime Janet or I stopped, he would run around and then sit on our feet demanding that we continue with our grooming. Sooooo funny!
Once in the garden Gus was happy to run and explore. He wasn't overly interested in the ball but offered a good game of tug and he was happy to join in.
Yes Gus was a little clumsy, somewhat boisterous and more than in need of a bath! But, he was an absolute sweetheart and such a happy fella. I have no doubt in the right home he will thrive bringing joy and laughter with him.
