Please welcome Toby
Toby has been signed over to Newport City Dogs Home as his beloved owner recently died, and even though the family are not able to keep Toby, they are extremely invested in his future, and have arranged for Toby to stay in foster with a professional home boarder until we are able to find the perfect forever home for him.
Here's the Toby fact file!
Toby
Male Welsh springer spaniel
Born 17th June 2007 - Toby is ten years young!
Neutered
Good with people
Good with children
Good with dogs
Genuinely likes to cuddle watching tv.
Training is very good. Recall is Good.
Likes to watch animals on tv. His favourite advert is FLASH!!! Ah haaaaaa! Where's all the mud gone? 🤣
Likes to play, but not all day anymore, so Toby could be suitable for a working household as long as someone is able to pop in at lunchtimes to give him a toilet break, a trot around the block, and to remind him how loved he is.
Will chase Cats. So no Cats. At all. No visiting neighbours cats, no cats! Cats are on Toby's bucket list.
Toby is an absolute gentleman looking for a slower paced home, but still loves his walks and doggy playdates, he is still up for adventures. Toby may be in his silver years, but he still has loads of living to do! Toby isn't ready to take up his pipe and slippers, he would love to live in a household that will keep him young!
Toby will be coming up to Newport City Dogs Home on Saturday 28th to meet prospective rehomers and if you'd like to meet him please contact the staff on 01633 290902, or pop up during opening hours to complete an application form between 11am - 1pm and 2pm - 4pm, on weekdays, 11am - 1pm and 2pm - 3.30pm on Saturday. Please note: the home is CLOSED on Sundays.
Rehoming fees are from £100 - £200 depending on the age/breed of the dog, and include 1st vaccination, flea & worm treatment, neutering and microchip.
