Please give a gentle welcome to Poppy This pretty little lady has been signed over to Cardiff Dogs Home by her owners who couldn't give her the time and care she needed. Poppy is a sensitive little lady, and she is finding it a little tough settling into the routine of kennel life. She hasn't put a paw wrong since she arrived, and although she probably hasn't been socialised as much as a young dog should, Poppy has lived with kitties and with children. She hasn't spent a lot of time around other dogs and can be a little intimated by them, but we're planning to introduce her our resident heart-throb Haze as soon as she is able to join the walkers list. Hot date coming up for you Miss Poppy! Poppy is definitely all about the love, she can be excitable, and she would love a home where she understands the routine, and life is a little less puzzling for her. She is very keen to please her peeps, and does the cutest beg, for no reason, just to get a bit of praise and affection. We tried our hardest, but couldn't really interest Poppy in toys... Dogs love and need routine. They need to know 'what happens next', and we have no doubt Poppy will thrive in a household where she is included, where she matters. If you'd like to meet Poppy please phone the Dogs' Home: 029 2071 1243 or visit Cardiff Dogs' Home, Westpoint Industrial Estate, Penarth Road, open 7 days a week, 10.30 - 4pm. I'm surprised that Poppy's still in kennels - such a beautiful little face and sounds like a lovely girl.
