Reckon you know your breeds? Meet Rolo This fabulously handsome youngster has been signed over to Cardiff Dogs Home as his owner is poorly. So - we're told that Rolo is a lab/staffie/border terrier mix Did you guess? Did ya? We couldn't have called it! But without a doubt Rolo is a fabulous guy whatever his parentage! Rolo is uber-affectionate, full of fun, and when he's on the move he's far too quick for the shutter speed of our camera! He's a very playful fella, and he had a freebie Christmas stocking when he arrived. Everything in it seemed new and wonderful to Rolo! Left-over Christmas turkey? I'll take it!
We're happy to say no soft toys were hurt when we took these photo's! Rolo has a very soft mouth As Rolo has been signed over he is available for rehoming immediately, and if you'd like to meet him please phone the Dogs' Home: 029 2071 1243 or visit Cardiff Dogs' Home, Westpoint Industrial Estate, Penarth Road, open 7 days a week, 10.30 - 4pm. This gorgeous little man was our first walk of a very icy morning and he came out of the kennels raring to go! Rolo is such a stunner and a fabulous mix! I forgot what exact breeds he was but you can definitely see the staffie influence in that handsome face of his! He was pretty enthusiastic while walking down the lane at first, desperate to out and about, but calmed down considerably once he'd done his business. After that Rolo walked very nicely, sometimes just ahead and other times at our side, always checking back on us to make sure we were still there. He did have a case of the jumpies and at times tried to jump up for a cwtch and a fuss (and maybe check if we had any treats going), but a quick 'no' and a reminder of paws on the floor was all that was needed to get him back to trotting nicely. At certain points on the walk it got quite slippery but Rolo, bless him, made sure to keep his energy in check so I could shuffle along very slowly Rolo is a big fan of treats and would get a bit impatient if I was taking too long, but sat and gave paw with ease and took treats very very gently. He was a little interested in other dogs but was easy to move on and there wasn't a hint of unease or aggression about him. I don't think he'll be waiting too long before he's showing his forever family just how much love he has to give! 'If I give two paws, do I get two treats?'

It was a pleasure to take Rolo out for a walk today! He's a gorgeous pup with lots of character! He was so excited to come out for a walk and quickly settled down. Another dog off the lead ran over to say hello, and initially we were worried as we didn't know what he was like with other dogs, but with that wagging tail it soon became clear that all he wanted to do was play and cuddle! Hope he gets his forever home soon!

We took Rolo out for a great walk this morning. What a stunning boy he is, nothing like I've seen before! He came out quite bouncy which is not surprising given that it was his first walk of the day. After a couple of minutes he'd settled right down and walked really nicely. He found an interesting smell by the pumping station in the grass, whatever it was was verrrrry interesting as it was quite a task to distract him. But we managed and soon got going again. We went to the top of the tump in Grangemoor Park and had a little sit and a smooch. This boy is very affectionate but gentle too. We walked back, Rolo stopping once more at the amazing smell spot and then back. He was perfect passing other dogs, and was lovely to spend time with. I can' believe how handsome he is, he has a beautiful bear like face.
Good luck Rolo.

His little face is gorgeous and those eyes!!!
