Bruno will be no stranger to regular visitors to the Home, and to our fabulous volunteer Pilgrims. Bruno was a long term resident at CDH from October last year until being reunited with his owner a few weeks ago. His owner clearly loves Bruno dearly, but due to unfortunate circumstances is unable to provide Bruno with a safe place of residence, so Bruno needs a retirement home where he can live out his silver years. There's no denying Bruno is more than a little bewildered and sad to be back at the Home.... But at least he is safe. He has a fully belly, a cosy bed upon which to rest his old bones, and a lovely handknitted warm jumper to keep the chill off Bruno is a firm favourite with the staff. He is such a steady boy, and has been a great temperament tester for some of our new incomers, as he has fabulous doggy manners. He's an undemanding, quiet old fella. And he deserves better than to be in and out of a stray dog pound at his age. If you'd like to meet Bruno please phone the Dogs' Home: 029 2071 1243 or visit Cardiff Dogs' Home, Westpoint Industrial Estate, Penarth Road, open 7 days a week, 10.30 - 4pm. I felt I had to write something about this beautiful boy, I've know Bruno for 2 years, he hasn't had it easy, but he is so loving,I really have lost my heart to this boy, he loves the ladies and is so protective if he loves you he does it with all his heart, he became a huge part of a place that he lived in until recently,he loves belly rubs, cwtches, duvets, and he loves to take over the bed, but now he is getting older he loves nothing more than to be in the warm with a little luxury , he doesn't care much for high viz jackets, vests,I think they maybe a part of his past he would rather forget. I hope he will find a forever home soon he so deserves it. He really is awesome....💙💙💙

Just had to share this boy on Facebook. He sounds like the kind of bigger dog anyone would be delighted to have in their home. Do hope that happens for him soon, even though I know he's getting tons of love from staff at CDH. xx

Lovely walk today with gentle giant Bruno! We were a little surprised to see this boy still at CDH, such a lovely fella! He was really relaxed and chilled out through our walk, think we wore the poor boy out though as he decided to take a nap half way through! Lol It didn’t stop him from wanting a well deserved fuss though..... We stopped at the top of grange moor and he seemed to take in the views and think.. maybe he was wondering if there was a spare sofa out there somewhere that he could call his own... I really hope this boy finds his forever sofa soon, I think he will make someone really happy, he deserves it! Very gentle to take his treats... Good luck boy!!!!

Bruno is an older gent, about 10 years old. He's not ready to hang up his lead though, as you can see he still loves his daily walkies! x

Best news of the week - Bruno has found a comfy forever sofa of his own to rest his paws on This darling old fella has spent most of the last nine months in kennels, and we all cried happy tears for him when he finally left the building. Be happy darling boy
