I am extremely pleased to announce that Pickle has gone to her new home..... With me and Becky!!! ;D we haven't said anything as we were third reserve and didn't want to jinx it, but it has all worked out and she now has a new family with us and our other two dogs Betty and Archie! ;D I took Pickles photos for the forum and it was definitely love at first sight, Becky also fell in love with her so we put our names down last week. Pickle and our 2 year old boy Archie took to each other straight away and are already rough housing each other like two naughty kids! Hopefully they will keep each other occupied so 10 year old Betty can have a break!! I know there were a few others interested in her so sorry about that, there are still lots of lovely dogs waiting for their forever homes! It just goes to show that if a dog has reserves don't let it put you off! Here we are leaving the home (lots more pics and updates will follow i'm sure!!) Archie and Pickle having a play already...

Thanks guys! We are chuffed to bits! We've had big anxious knots in our stomachs since her release date on Saturday waiting to find out if her first 2 reserves would come to anything, fortunately for us they didn't!! We knew instantly she belonged with us, it was definitely love at first sniff! She is a lovely little playmate for Archie, he's got so much energy and Betty is a bit old and a bit grumpy to keep up!

I'm so thrilled Pickle has gone to such a great human/doggy family. It's a brilliantly happy ending for that gorgeous little dog.

Took the 3 dogs for a long walk before coming home and they got on great. Pickle and Archie did a lot of play wrestling and she followed him everywhere. Betty threw a few growls around the place just letting Pickle know who is top dog but Pickle didnt bat an eyelid at her Its very early days, but so far so good! She is having a good kip whilst I type and in a Goldilocks style she has tried every one of the 3 beds! Silly girl seems to like Bettys the best I hope it stays as easy as this, I am realistic though and I know there will probably be "issues" between the girls once Pickle finds her feet a bit but we'll just deal with things as they come. I cant believe someone let this little girl go, she is such a loving dog but their loss is certainly our gain! We love her to bits already. "Is this the forever sofa I have heard so much about on the forum?" I'd just like to stress what Kirsty said above, we were 3rd reserve on Pickle and didnt think for one minute anyone would drop out of having her. But peoples circumstances change or they simply change their minds and third reserves DO happen ;D If you see a dog that you like but it already has a reserve, please please go ahead and put that reserve on anyway! You might get lucky like we did!!!

Yay!! I'm so pleased to hear you've adopted the gorgeous Pickle, not a complete surprise after seeing how much Kirsty loved her after the Leap Day event ;D You must keep updating her pics, she already looks like a new dog after her pampering. So very pleased for you all

Thanks Cheryl! ;D It was the Leap Day event day that we put the reserve on, fell for her hook line and sinker! Wasn't looking for another dog at all but sometimes it's just fate! I have had a week booked off from work for months so the timing couldn't have been more perfect either ;D

Thanks Maria! Well it has been a very successful first day or so! Pickle has settled in far better than we ever expected and the other dogs have welcomed her with open paws ;D She has been playing with Archie loads, Betty has ignored her but Betty ignores everyone ;D She has mastered the spiral staircase in under a day which is very impressive as even people struggle with it hehe! She has been munching her dinner as if she has never eaten before, something Betty and Archie find strange as they tend to pick at it in little bits. We definitely think she has been an outdoor dog and are not quite sure if she is toilet trained yet, she has had two little weeing accidents but this could be because she is in a strange place and doesn't know where her 'loo' is. Before we picked her up the staff had put a cone on her head to stop her biting at her cuts. She doesn't need it for the majority of the day but does start scratching when settled down in the night so it has to go back on then, not that she's bothered We took her for a very long walk to Llandaff Fields today, she was allowed off lead and absolutely loved it! She was good as gold and trotted along by my side for the majority of the walk. She was fab with other dogs and people and came back straight away when called, really cannot say a bad word about her! Here's a few pics of Pickle's first taste of freedom... Walking with her brother and sister... Sniffs! Archie teaching Pickle how to swim! All tired out, Pickle has somehow bagged prime sleeping spot on Mum's lap

Aw! What a lovely happy ending. Not an ending of course as it's just the beginning for you all with a new member of the family but no more suffering for ickle Pickle! I met her on the Leap Day walk and was amazed at how friendly she was with everyone and every dog! to all of you!

I saw the great news on FB and had to pop in to see how it's going. ;D Having met her at the leap day even, she is wonderful and I'm made up for you all. It's lovely to see her leg healing so well, and just how sparkly white is she now??!!! ;D We might see you around at Llandaff Fields sometime.

One last update on ickle Pickle ;D She has been with us for 2 weeks now but she has settled into our family so well it feels like she's always been here! Her and Archie are still best buds and play constantly like naughty children! ;D They play, have a drink of water, play some more then zonk out together in one of the beds cuddled up! Betty is enjoying having time out to relax without Archie pestering her to play. We took Pickle on her first holiday to Rhossili this weekend and she was as good as gold! She is great off lead and just loves everyone!! She's a true terrier and loves going off sniffing out those rabbits, but is definitely not a fan of the sea As you can see from the pics below she's loving her new life and her cuts and grazes are all healing very well. We are so happy that she is part of our family and can't imagine life without her! Sharing a bone Enjoying a run on the beach! Part of the pack! Chilling in the sun Celebrating Wales winning the Grand Slam!! ;D All worn out!
