:DDylan our 4 year old Greyhound likes nothing better than walking off with various items he picks up around the house, eg Tv remote, pens, tape, blankets from dog beds, mobile phones plus any thing else that catches his eye. Has anybody else had the same thing happen or is it just our Dylan.

Not a sighthound but our old pointer boy used to pinch lighters, my oh used to smoke back then and kept wondering where all his disposable lighters kept going, then we caught Zac carefully picking them up off the coffee table and taking them up the garden where he hid them under a bush !!!! needless to say they were then kept well out of harms reach, not sure what the attraction was he never touched anything else that wasn't his !

We have a collie/lurcher who will steal just about anything. Usually food (particularly eggs in their boxes for some reason) but sometimes we'll find stuff in his bed that he's taken just coz he can

My collie-x lurchery lady is developing into a bit of a food thief. Nope, she's not hungry she gets fed enough. You can't leave anything out on the counter or she'll have it. Often in team work with the cat!!!! if she can't reach it, she cat will jump up, nudge something down and they share!!! ...like a whole pack of Finest Ardennes Pate... *hmph*
