Hi all, I've read a lot of threads lately about anxious dogs and dogs not getting along. We have 3 dogs now and been very lucky that although they're not all social little beings they have accepted each other really well. However our collie is a very anxious dog who dislikes others and loud noises and...well most things actually. This year for the first time we invested in a DAP to help us through the fire work season ( always thought they were hocum actually but she was such a wreck by oct I was willing to try anything). The change in her through fire work season was amazing, but also she seemed to just relax generally around dogs out walking in the house and when we bought home jake ( number 3) from cdh. I'm not saying its made her totally fixed she still has her angry moments and anxious fears but we have friends with dogs visiting this week n I fully intend to plug in to calm her down. I'm a teacher I don't have anything to gain from posting this, I know they're expensive but if you are at the end of your tether it might be worth a go!

Haha they a plug in thing that supposed to defuse happy puppy mummy dog pheromones into the house (I can neither smell nor sense it but little pot of liquid goes down) sold in pet stores ( there's a cat one n dog one) and advertised around firework season. In all honesty I can see no difference in behaviour of my other 2 dogs whether its there or not (but then they have no anxiety issues) but seems to effect the collie. Bloody expensive though but worth a shot if you are rehoming a new dog who is anxious.
