Apologies is this has already been covered but when a dog comes into the home and goes 'under assessment' = what is that? What's carried out as part of the assessment? Cheers Mike

Hello Mike
Dont worry about asking questions, that's what the forum is here for!
Generally what under assessment means is that the dog has been brought in by the warden and the dogs home don't have any background on the dog. So, the dog is not allowed up for adoption (although you can place a reserve) until they have served their seven days in the home and the home have checked they dont have any medical problems or severe behavioural problems.
You will usually find that the lovely dog walkers will have walked the dogs and updated their profiles on the forum which gives a better idea of how the dog behaves outside the unnatural kennel environment.
Hope this helps...............don't ever be afraid to ask questions, that's what we are here for ;D
