It seems to have been a 'bad' week for dogs coming into CDH in very poor condition. This lovely little staffie girl is Mo, and despite her entire body being covered in sores, and possibly scalds/burns, the vets first observations were 'Friendly little lady!' Her ears also are being medicated, as there is evidence of a long standing problem, but if she is in any discomfort, she certainly isn't showing it! She positively bounced out of her kennel, and is a typically licky staffie girl, and however she ended up in such a poor condition she obviously doesn't bear a grudge as she loves people to kissydom! Because her skin is so poor, it's hard to judge whether the white 'freckles' on her face are colour markings or a result of her skin condition. She is being medicated and she'll probably look like a different girl in a few weeks, although some of the bald patches on her back may never regrow. Mo is obviously a 'live in the moment' type of girl, and loved being out for her pics, she's such a happy, waggy tailed young lady! I have said it before and I will say it again, if they are non-accidental scolds or burns....whoever inflicted them will get what they deserve eventually. I am a firm believer in karma for such poor excuses for human beings.
Thank goodness she has a second chance! xx

Popped into the Home today to do some updates and thought I would check on how Mo was doing. Its the first time I have met her properly and oh my - what an absolute sweetheart she is!!! I havent had such lovely kisses in a long time ;D She is more than happy to be cuddled, stroked and fussed and her skin condition obviously doesnt bother her in the slightest! I really cannot sing her praises enough, a beautiful girl on the inside as well as the outside. Please dont overlook her because of her skin, she is a fabulous little lady that has completely stolen my heart. I really hope she finds a loving home soon, she so deserves it! She is a cracker Cuddles please! Kisses!!!! The best Staffie snog EVER!!!

why are people so cruel, it just breaks my heart to see things like this . even if you have no money to pay the vet straight away they would all rather you came in with your pet than let it suffer and they will make a payment plan for you to pay in installments. no need to let any animal suffer. Mo will soon be looking a lot better with all the care she will have @ the home and fingers crossed her sofa is waiting for her soon

I have walked Mo a couple of times and she is just a joy to be with. So friendly and cuddly, good on the lead, no trouble with traffic, bikes and positively wriggling with joy when meeting people. She does a very cute sit and paw for her treats and then thanks you with licks and love. It isn't any trouble getting her in a vehicle as when I opened my car door to say something to my mother, Mo was up and in her lap in a second, and seemd quite happy to stay there..

Aww what a lovely photo! I absolutely love Mo, I desperately wish I could take her home If it wasn't for my 3 naughty terriers she would be curled up on my sofa in a heartbeat! Such a gorgeous girl with an adorable personality. Her scalded skin has improved so much and she certainly holds no grudges, such a forgiving little girlie. Hope someone sees how special she is soon, she deserves her forever sofa more than most

Couldn't resist taking little Mo out for another walk today! I can't believe she hasn't been snapped up yet! She is looking fantastic, especially when compared to how she came into the home (pics at the top). She gets sweeter by the second, a genuine diamond in the rough this one Here she is, stunning!

As you know, when Little Mo came into the Home, she was in an extremely poor condition, and had obviously been suffering from long term neglect. The staff and vets have been battling to get her condition under control, but sadly it was one step forward, two steps back for the little girl The vets advised that her condition could only be managed with lifetime medication, but the increasingly frequent flare ups would cause her distress, so the decision was made to let her go Thank you to everyone, the staff at CDH, the vets, the volunteers and walkers who showed Mo such kindness. She was a brave little girlie, much loved by all of us. Rest easy sweetheart

So so sad. I met Mo out on a walk and her walker said she was such a sweetheart. Run free little Mo. You're in a better place now. xxxx
