Hi everyone,
Just a quick post to say hi and introduce ourselves, I'm Matt I live in Caerphilly with my partner Dan we have 2 cats Polly and Tigger and a Jack Russell called Minstrel. Polly is a grand old lady at 15 and Tigger is 18 months. Minstrel is the baby of the bunch and is just coming up to six months old.
Here is minstrel when he first joined our family
and this is him now
Tigger and Minstrel get on incredibly well and they spend most of the day playing and eating
Polly is the boss of the house and at 15 likes to keep herself to herself. She can usually be found on a bed or curled up under a radiator. She keeps Tigger and Minstrel in their place and if they get too boisterous they get a quick whack from the paw to calm them down - she's not shy about giving the humans a dose too!!
I'm posting on here because we've started to feel like now Minstrel is a bit more grown up we'd like to find him some canine company - playing with the cat is great but when Tigger has had enough he hops over the fence and poor Minstrel is left with just his toys and the boring humans to play with. And although he's only at home alone for a couple of hours a day it I think it must be boring for him.
We're not sure what type of dog we're looking for and have a completely open mind - although I must admit I would like a girl - and we'll be visiting the Dog's home soon to hopefully find the new member of our family.
