Halloween Monsters Ball Wednesday 31st October 2012 Victoria Park, Barry Time: 4.00pm to 7.00pm Admission: Free A scary, creepy evening in the park for families and children. There will be a monsters ball disco in the bandstand. Fancy dress and best carved pumpkin competitions. Come and have a fun (but slightly scary!) evening in the park. Creepy cakes and refreshments. Please bring a torch and warm clothes. Friends of CDH have enjoyed an incredible amount of support from Victoria Park throughout 2012, including a bumper donation of £500 towards our Sensory Garden Fund  We'll need a few helpers on the night, but most of all we'd love to see Friends coming along to enjoy the spooky fun ;D |

We need a scary Halloween version of teddy tombola  I've bought a scary tablecloth, dracula teeth cups and pumpkin discs. The idea is to put sweets and pumpkins under the upturned cups. Our customers pay a £1 for 2 goes. If they turn up a sweet they keep it, if they turn up a pumpkin they win a soft toy. It's 'a prize every time' and we hopefully rehome a fair number of cuddlies.  I've got it all ready to go, but I can't do the stall myself because I'm working  Any takers?  Rach  |

I have some nice things / prizes for kids. I have about 10 plastic pumkins with sweets in and some bags of halloween lollies etc. Shall I hang onto them and bring them on the night or should I drop them to someone beforehand? Lisa x

Lisa x Thanks Lisa ;D. Can you bring them on the night ? I think it will be simpler. Can we have a check up on who is able to come and help with the Halloween Ball. We need minimum 8  pairs of hands. I've got the stuff for one stall but need to hand it over to someone as I'm working that day. |

I can help out at this. There will be two of us but we have at least one dog so maybe just count us as one pair of hands.
Can you confirm if it's going ahead by Monday noon as I will have to take a half day from work.

We are still a bit short handed for this event, anybody available to help out to make up 8 volunteers.? Please!. The Friends of Victoria Park have been so good to FCDH lets give them some support  We still need some info of what we are doing and time to turn up etc ------ ? |

C'mon guys - time for some Spooky Fun ;D  If you can come along to give us helping hand, please let us know! The more the merrier, and a specially big invite to our Friends with two legged little 'uns - they'll have a blast ;D If you can't come on the day, could you help with some cakies for the Witches Kitchen?  I'll be going down to start setting up at about 2 o'clock, the event is kicking off at 4 o'clock, and it won't be a late night, we should be finished by 6ish. If you can help with transporting to/from the store, please let me know  Don't forget - you have to dress up!   There are fabulous cash prizes (top prize £20) for best kids and best adults fancy dress, and for best pumpkin!  Helpers - from 2'ish if you can help set up, for from 4 o'clock to hit the ground running! Thanks everyone  S x |
