Hi Steph!
Just come along with your lead, and a bottle of water if it's hot (not likely at the moment is it!) about 12pm
The staff will bring dogs out one at a time and allocate them to whoever is there walking, and people tend to set off in dribs and drabs so that the dogs aren't too bunched up together and getting too excited. Last time we were there the staff were very careful about not letting dogs get too close together so it's best that people spread out really.
We tend to walk along the Ely trail towards Leckwith and if we get as far as the playing fields have a walk around there and back to the Home.
And very important - bring a camera!!
I'm hoping to make it (but I'm going to a hen do Sat so may depend how delicate my head is feeling ;D ), It is lovely to see so many dogs out at the same time, and to meet new Friends ;D

yes - driving license will do ;D but I don't know if they're taking new walkers on the list at the moment as there were 500 on it - does anyone know? Ang?
Maybe best to call the home tomorrow if noone knows?

I *think* that the SWALKS operate a bit differently - Susie will correct me - the dogs are individually booked out to the SWALKERS so you do not have to be a registred walker for these events and no hard copy id necessary.

Yey - it stayed dry and we S'WALKED and S'WALKED today Okay, there was also some serious 'runnage' too Not sure if it was Sparkey or Dewbury, but there was definitely a flash of 'big white dog' trotting apace down the lane as I arrived today ;D As is now customary, by just after 1.30 all the dogs that were cleared for take off, took off Only the poopies and one new resident had a stay-at-home day, and by the end of the afternoon, almost all dogs had been out twice I stayed in the car park, chatting and taking piccies, and here are a few of our lovelies from today... Lady, who was returned to CDH recently.... Gavin stretching his legs.... and Damon enjoying a lot of attention from some of his fans.. Lookie who joined us for her first S'WALK Yey Steph Striding out with Tyson (K27)... And here's our other Tyson One of our beautiful 'ladies of a certain age', Cassie, with Rach... Daz, who doesn't seem to get a lot of 'publicity' on the forum, but the walkers absolutely love him to bits Maria with her Harry (Yoshi) And Dewbury, looking sooooooo much better for a bit of tlc.... His wounds are really clearing up beautifully, and he was positively smiley today... And here's John, lapping up the lovin'..... Soz to the dogz I didn't get pics of, hoping the S'WALKERS have updated their threads, I got a few other pics which *may* be appearing in the 'Happy in their Forever Homes' section very very soon Watch that space ;D It was lovely to see all our doglets out today, simply lovely
