It's Team Barclays, Ian, Nabhila and Jamie, accompanied by Friends Michelle, Hazel and Lynne & Co setting off for a day of walking and meeting and greeting at ASDA's
We brought out Frankie...
Salem....
And little Bronwen...
and the stunningly handsome and impecably behaved Max, with Michelle and Hazel....
Saying 'hi' to a young shopper....
And, a little dog who stole so many hearts on the day, Twizzle. She was a very good girl though, and kept Auntie Lynne, Katie and Amy (and the shoppers)! busy and entertained....
Uncle Bern and Sandra were there for the duration
Abby and Bails were a bit camera shy on the day, but not this pair, who came to do the late afternoon shift after Team Barclays had taken their charges back to the Home...
We had a visit from 'Head Office' at lunch time....
Maria popped along to say 'Hi' to Team Barclays and Friends.....
And as always, there was lots of interest in Cardiff Dogs Home and the Friends, we met some smashing people, and were astounded when we counted up the pennies at the end of the day -
£205.15Now, the thing about Teams Barclays is whenever they have come to a volunteer day they have asked that the funds raised on the day go towards a specific cause. They have previously helped to pay for Friends public liability insurance, bought a wholesale number of slipleads, purchased fundraising items (buckets, tables), as well as donating towards the Kennel and Sensory Garden funds.
One of our walkers has taken a special interest in Twizzle, and asked us if she could try to raise money for Twizzle to have an xray on her shoulder, (and whatever follow up treatments she needs) and when Team Barclays heard about the Twizzle Fund, they immediately asked whether the money they raised on Wednesday could be used for Twizzle's treatment
So, on behalf of Twizzle, a massive
to Rebecca, Team Barclays and all the Friends and dawgs who helped on the day. And of course to Vicky and all the staff and customers at ASDA
What a difference this will make to young Twizzle
Rebecca has painted this lovely picture of Twizzle, which we will be presenting to Team Barclays in recognition of everything they have done to help all the dogs at CDH over the past 10 months
