Hi there,
Thanks so much for planning to be there for 8. That's perfect.
If the clothes are really nice with good labels we can try and sell them at the Boot Sale - as a rule the cash for clothes items tend to be on the older, more well worn side of things, which people would be less likely to buy. The thing with clothes is that I don't want to store them at home because I haven't room in the house and they will get damp in the summerhouse. My sister gave me some good kids clothes which I will be bringing, and then if they don't sell I will take them to the Last Sunday for C 4 C or ask Kate if she wants them for Kidsmarkets. If you have got anything that could be a clothes rail that would be a great help. I can bring a bag of hangers. Also any carrier bags you have surplus are really useful. I will PM you if there should be a real problem weatherwise. Not sure what the forecast is. Rach

Do you want any CDs or DVDs? I'm having a clear out and was going to ebay them. I still have some sorting to do so can bring a few for Sunday or wait for a later date. I can't help on day I'm afraid as I'm working!

Yes I might just keep the clothes separate and bring them down to the home on last Sunday. Plenty of other stuff though... And I'm sure I can find some bags. No portable clothes rail I'm afraid though. Weather forecast is a bit shoddy!

I did have a clothes rail. Either my Mum or sister has borrowed it. I'll try and track it down! I'm sure I overheard someone mentioning they had clothes rail tho. I think Susie was talking to someone about it. ...

Bern has a clothes rail he has promised us, but he's away this weekend. Rach - Lynne sorted the clothes into Cash for Clothes (turned into money already) and the other stuff is a mix of 'nice' stuff for car booty and very very nice stuff for ebaying. If you want the clothes for Sunday, we'll get you a rail ;D Anita, if yours turns up, could you let us know? I'll pop down anyways - the dog chews are getting close to their sell by date and these always go well, so I'll bring these. Also a rehoming book - is there anything else you need from me? I think I'm meeting up with Kate tomoz, so can get your collection pots from her. I won't be staying for the duration on Sunday though, so I'll park up outside if that's OK? And come back to help you pack up?

Hi Susie,
Great to know you will be around on Sunday morning for the Boot Sale. I will get there just a bit before 8 to get a warmer spot than we had before.
See you soon ;D ;D ;D

I can't help on day I'm afraid as I'm working! CDs and DVDs are always very welcome. If it's a hassle for you getting to the Sale and working this Sunday, hang onto them for another day. I think there is also going to be a bric a brac stall at the April Fayre which they would be perfect for. Rach

I just had a snooze. Surprising how tiring it is to stand on your feet for 4-odd hours. Some of the more random things sold today... a didgeridoo, a very very yellow hooded raincoat (real niche market! lol), a collection of dolphin items... and I quite enjoyed decorating my other half in wind chimes!! ;D Was great fun!

Rach's Car Booty's are indeedy Looty generators..... To date, the 3 boot sales have raised over £700 - turning your wonderful donations (and whatever else Rach has scrounged or found in skips) into hard cash for the Kennel Fund ;D Very many thanks to Rach, the Queen of Car Booties, and her loyal and faithful subjects who have turned up for duty, and to everyone who has donated some pretty fabulous stuff at our Last Sunday events for onward sale at the Car Booty's. You've all helped make these monthly events really worthwhile, and quite a lot of fun actually Pats on Backs for y'all
