On the cash for cans front it could be an option for me to take them back to the midlands every so often. I go home every month or two and if not then my parents come here. My village is in between 20 mins from wolves in one direction and the same from brierley hill in the other. Obviously the cans would preferably need to be crushed to save a bit of space as i have the baby and fur baby in tow but could definitely fit some in if people think this could be an option x

Hi guys, sorry I've not been too involved over the last month or so, life has been chaotic! I have a two and a half year old terrible-twoing and a nine year old being all crazy with her hormones! Things are a little calmer now though so we are going to get organised and get on with selling the things we promised we would. I'll be in touch soon with an update and will try to get down to visit my best boy Mischief next week

i would like to see a log book type register for dogs, with the breeder being listed as the originator of the animal ,and having ultimate responsibility for the dog throughout its lifetime. The breeder would be liable for costs incurred ,for care and rehoming ,if the current registered owners could not be traced, but the dogs chip and log would have to show every transfer of ownership giving complete traceability, with the previous owner being held responsible for the animal until the new owner is verified The only way puppy farming ,irresponsible breeding and ownership is ever going to decrease is to hit them where it hurts-in the wallet.Maybe people would be a lot more cautious about breeding and selling dogs to the first person to turn up with the cash. At present, the chip is really only of value to someone who is loooking for an escaped or lost animal, but there is no consequence to someone who just throws the dog out or passes it off to the first person willing to take it.the problem needs to be stopped at source- the breeder! All mine have been rescues as i refuse to put money into a breeders pocket when almost any breed is in a home or rescue somewhere in the country.

Ahhhhhh, if only Supasax I agree 100% with everything you say. There is so very little enforcement though even of current legislation around dogs, which is pretty weak to say the least. I know there are plans to introduce compulsory microchipping, but none of the consultation papers I've seen indicate whether this is just for licenced breeders, or whether it includes backstreet breeders, and people who simply don't neuter and the resultant 'accidental' litters. I would absolutely love to see a local campaign of enforcement under the Animal Welfare Act, especially for the abandonment of dogs. CDh is getting on average 100 dogs in every month, that's 100 owners who could be liable for prosecution. If people knew that, they might be less likely to dump their dogs.

dont see how compulsory chipping is going to change anything as there will be the same old excuses from the irresponsible owners"."he was rehomed months ago and i dont have the new owners address anymore, or he disappeared a long time ago we thought he had been stolen or got lost".Most owners of dogs involved in an attack will run of as fast as possible, unless you happen to have a scannner with you while out walking ,you will probably never be able to trace the owners if you sell your vehicle and dont inform dvla then you are still responsible for it ,we need the same system for dog ownership with the ultimate responsibility resting with the breeder.so that the dog they sell off to anyone can come back and bite them on the ass ;D
