Please read carefully Local authorities have no statutory (or other) duty to take in or rehome cats. It is the responsibility of owners to ensure that their cats are neutered so prevent unwanted pregnancies, and the resulting unwanted litters. CDH get asked regularly if they can take in kittens, the local cat rescues, SHUA and Cats Protection are bursting at the seams and invariably are not in a position to take in unwanted cats. The Home have contacted us this morning as someone has found two kittens in a field. They are black, it's thought they are aout 10 weeks old, and both female. The finder is unable to keep them as she is going away this weekend, and can't find anywhere to take them. Please note - neither CDH nor Friends is about to get involved in rehoming cats or kittens, we cannot take them in or help with rehoming, but have offered in this instance to try to help find suitable homes. A donation of £25.00 will be required, this will be passed to SHUA, a local cat rescue, and this will helpfully prevent the kittens being rehomed on a whim. Also, we would ask that anyone interested in rehoming them will commit to getting them spayed as soon as they are old enough. If anyone is interested please pm me (admin) for details.

When they came in, Bas gave them a curious sniff, received a rude swipe, and it was total respect Miss Kitties thereonin! They didn't mind Fudgie at all, but would only tolerate Bas coming within a few feet. Funny how they got the measure of him and Fudgie in an instant. Bas's scardey side certainly got the better of his prey drive, which was very good to see. I think if we'd kept them they would have grown to be good friends.

I thought Friends might like to know that the two beautiful kittens have found a lovely new home. They are adored already and, less than a week in, are already ruling the roost!
On what's been a desperately sad couple of days, I thought you might like to hear another bit of good news to coincide with the amazing result from the booty girls.
I hope Twizzle would be pleased
