May I put this to the committee. C A R I A D, the coalition of campaigners in Wales, dedicated to the fight against puppy farming, has asked CDH if they would like to be part of the coalition but have had no reply. I respect that being part of the council CDH would not find it appropriate to join .
But what about ''Friends''? does the constitution preclude ''Friends'' from supporting the campaign?
C A R I A D supporters include Four Paws, Happy Days, West Wales RGT, and about 15 other rescues. A petition of nearly 4000 names will be presented to WAG on Tuesday at 11.30 on the steps of the Senedd by C A R I A D. C A R I A D is a responsible law abiding group and I think ''Friends '' should be supporting this initiative. I would like to hear the committees opinion and also other ''Friends''. Baglady is away for a week but during that time an on line discussion could take place. My opinion is that ''Friends '' should have a free voice on dog welfare and not censored by the council. I am interested to hear your views.

Nuggie. Just read your comments on CARAID and agree we should get involved, we are after all involved in dog welfair and anything being done correctly and legally should be supported by us. Look forward to other comments on this matter.

Agree with John - but I don't know anything about CARAID I'm afraid and can't see anything on the net either - are there any details - mission statements, policies and procedures, etc., anywhere please.
Personally I feel that one of the most important things we can do is to educate people as so many are totally unaware of the existence of puppy farms in themselves, let alone all the issues. - And then point them in the direction of a responsible established action group,

I'm thrilled that we're supporting them. They had a stand at Pembrey, and really are lovely people with a carefully thought out agenda, and objectives that I applaud. Good job Nuggie, thanks for organising this for us
