the great debate on whether it's waaayy to earlier to put up now has been lost to my hubbie today my back garden lights up the cul-de-sac and when i go out for a quickie (cigarette !!) all the flashing and twinkling is mad im standing my ground till at least start of december before the inside looks like a grotto lol what do other peeps think am i baaa humbug or just normal(ish)

I agree with you - think Christmas starts far too early now. By the time Christmas actually comes I'm fed up with it all - but then I am just a grumpy old woman

I must admit to being quite curmudgeonly about christmas but I do love our local christmas lights - they're quite simple but it brightens up the 'village' immensely at this time of the year.
We're having the community switch on next thursday and its great as everyone you know comes along - we have the added advantage this year of them being switched on by 'Ianto' from Torchwood. Lew who runs the local caff does a brilliant job in organising it all.

Woman across the street from me has had her tree up for over a month Madness I say!! So glad I don't celebrate Christmas.

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaay to early for me. It just stops being 'special' after seeing it for 2 months That's 1 sixth of the year! I could do more maths, but easier just to say bah humbug Keep it short, sweet and surprising, that's what I say, don't let it go on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on (see what I mean? - boring!)
