We are now taking on-line registrations If you have already emailed us, you should have received an email link to the on-line registration process. If you are already a registered walker, and are able to continue to commit at least two hours per week, please follow the link and complete the on-line form. You will need to include your Walker No. This is to ensure that all walkers details are held for insurance and administration purposes. If you would like to join the walkers register, and are able to commit to at least 2 hours per week, please follow the link. In particular we would like to hear from Wakey Wakey Walkers ;D CDH and Friends will be holding induction sessions shortly, and we will contact everyone who has completed the form with details of alternative times and dates very soon. I really want to but my time is being taken up by "the project" at the moment, I won't take a space of someone that can help now! Can I be on a reserve list for next year? Sorry

Sorry Don't worry Lisa, new walkers will be able to join up until we are at capacity, which is going to be approx 350 - 420 volunteer hours per week.

Just wondering how old you have to be to register as a walker? My niece has a 13 year old son who would like to register. He wants to work with dogs when he leaves school. He is used to walking large dogs as they have several and Mum says she would go with him. Any chance he could register or would he be considered too young? 😊

Unfortunately he would be too young. They can apply for work experience through the school at 15.
Mum could apply to be a walker and go with him though.

Hi,
I applied to be a walker and replied to the email about inductions on 20/9 explaining I could not get to the sessions on those particular dates and times but have not heard anything back as yet. Are there going to be any other sessions coming up? Ideally I need the times to be when the kids are in school, but am around on some weekends too.

Hi gsdcardiff,
We will be arranging some more training sessions soon, as I know not everyone has been able to attend the sessions that we have run over the past week.
As soon as we have planned when we are able to run these session we will be emailing everyone.

Hoping I can make it to a training session too, I'm sure Buster won't mind me spending some time walking other dogs.

Hi, Me and my sister have been registered with the home for nearly 2 years. But unfortunately due to a loss in the family have not been able to attend every Saturday morning as we used to We are dying to get back into the swing of things! We are planning on coming down this Saturday, but as we haven't been in about 6 months, I'm worried we wont be able to help out. We have not registered online and I was wondering if you could let me know, if we are still able to walk them. Thanks
